It's hard not to become overly invested sometimes...

A relaxed monthly check-in to talk about and pretty much anything else that comes to mind!

Given my obsession with simulation games I will no doubt be getting this as soon as it comes out!

Kind of up your alley too Giles Nicholson ?!

Morning all, and welcome to another highly-polished episode of our monthly Aches & Games podcast! This time around Giles fluffs the intro so badly that we had to cut it out and start again. Always a promising start to proceedings 👍

If you fancy seeing quite how impressively he stumbled we'll share the footage if we get to the heady heights of 10 reactions!

This month we talk about loads of things, including general life stuff, but also lots about what we've been playing this month, what's coming soon, some gaming stuff in the news recently and a whole debate about length....

Is longer always better? What's your ideal length? Let us know in the comments 🤔

Link to the full episode is in the comments so have a listen. It'll blow your mind 🤯

We recorded the April edition of the Aches & Games podcast tonight.

It went really smoothly. Giles nailed the intro first time, we didn't go off track once and we definitely stayed within our 1hr time limit*

See / hear for yourself on Friday.

* At least one of those things is a lie.

Mentioned this game in our last podcast as something that would be great to see remastered or remade on the PS5, but as EA don't seem remotely interested I'm going to give it a go via Steam!

Currently enjoying RE2 so definitely looking forward to playing this on the PS5 soon, when it arrives on PS Plus Extra & Premium on 19th March. It's already on Game Pass I believe, so it's a good time to unleash some more zombies!

This game takes me back to my days on the tills at Sainsbury's in my youth!

Surprisingly relaxing, although in Supermarket Simulator I no longer have to push trolleys around the car park at the end of the shift, and I also now get to stack the shelves and order stock, so it feels like I've really moved up in the world.

However, unfortunately the game doesn't pay me the amazing £3.20 per hour that Sainsbury's paid me in my youth, so I guess it's swings and roundabouts.

If you enjoy games that should be mind-numbingly tedious but are actually really quite fun and addictive I can heartily recommend it on the PC.

As orange-faced legend Dale Winton used to say, next time you're in the supermarket and you hear the beep, think of the fun you could be having on Supermarket Simulator. Or something like that.

I know some of you will have struggled to sleep since hearing the news on our latest podcast that my PC had died again.

I can now exclusively announce that it was fixed again late last week. Before I killed it again by putting some more RAM in.

But don't fear, dear readers because I personally fixed it all over again, using all of my technical expertise and persistence (I pushed the RAM in a little bit harder).

In summary, it was working then died. Then got repaired. Then died. Then got repaired. Then I killed it. Then I fixed it again.

It's been a journey. It's been emotional. It's been life changing.

So to celebrate I've been pushing my repaired PC to its very limits - by playing a game called Supermarket Simulator...

For those fascinated by the progress of my PC, I can today exclusively reveal that...
..it's dead again.

Or rather, it's technically alive but crashes every few minutes and refuses to recognise my secondary HDD, SO IT MIGHT AS WELL BE DEAD 😭😭
