REPENTANCE

Every believer walking according to the Spirit of God must maintain a daily attitude of repentance.

Repentance is not merely feeling remorse or thinking differently; it involves adopting an entirely changed mindset in purpose and action (lifestyle, indulgence).

Repentance is not just a conviction of sin; it is action (Jn. 8:11). One can be convicted by worldly sorrow and feel guilt, but it is godly sorrow that leads to true repentance (2 Cor. 7:10). Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regrets.

People can be religious in their repentance through rituals and common traditions, vain fastings, and practices. However, true repentance comes from a pure heart in service, supplication, and love, which is what God truly desires (Matt. 5:20). The Scribes and Pharisees practiced idolatry through their traditions and failed to recognize Christ as Lord and Savior, leading them to crucify Him.

Mental assent is not enough either, because even the devil believes and trembles. The working out of faith is what leads to godly repentance and nothing else
(Jms. 2:18-20).

Repentance requires a mental realization of what we've done, followed by action to change. This can only happen through the conviction of the Holy Spirit, whether through the Word of God, God's goodness, or His chastisement. Sometimes God chooses to chastise us when we are locked in our rebellion, offering grace for the saving of our souls through repentance.

No one comes to the Son unless the Father draws them. As we meditate on this topic, let us reflect and ask the Lord to shine His light on our hearts today for examination. And repent.

Psalm 9:18
“For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.”

“The hope of the godly results in happiness. Hope inspires, hope unites. Hope gives us clarity of purpose and direction.

Hope enlightens, hope empowers. Hope gives us strength to fulfill our life’s mission.

Candidly celebrate the gift of hope that’s inside your heart; by choosing to live a life of service to God; and a life of service to your fellow man.

You are a carrier of hope. There’s hope in the wake of tragedy, triumph in face of adversity for the survivor, as well the hope giver.” - Dr. Glacia Robinson

New Creation

2 Corinthians 5:17-18
[17]Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
[18]Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation...

We are a new creation in God, no longer born of the dirt, but of the Holy Spirit. The first Adam was born of dust, but the second and last Adam (Christ) was born of God.

Today we carry this nature and this life. The life of Christ powers and quickens our inner being.

1 Peter 1:18-19:
"[18] Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, [19] but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot."

We are made the righteousness of God, having the ability to live out God's nature and to stand rightly with the government of the Godhead.

2 Corinthians 5:21:
"[21] For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

The new man is in Christ, and Christ is in him (2 Cor. 5:17). In reality, God is one with us. His presence is always with us (John 14:17), which grants us the right to live above every condemnation. We are justified by God. Therefore, we must not have the nature to sin (1 John 3:9).

The new creation in Christ is made new in the spirit of man (Eph. 1:21), the soul, being renewed daily (Rom. 12:1-2), and the body, keeping it under subjection against all perverse and immoral things (2 Tim. 2:21-26).

If the soul is afflicted while we are believers, it is possible that although the spirit is renewed, the soul is not yet fully converted. Thus, it constantly sins, lusts, and desires only the things of the world. The new nature must go through the full process of restoration in spirit, soul, and body daily.

The same goes for the body. If the mouth is always defiled by guile, speaking lies, and stealing while being a Christian, it must go through sanctification and renewal daily to be fully delivered from these worldly characteristics.

Man is made to reign in life through the power of Christ. Apart from the nature to not sin, we must live above sickness and death (Rom. 8:11), above poverty (Deut. 8:18), and above the demonic realm (Eph. 1:21).

By living by the Word of God, studying daily, and declaring it over our lives, we can attain these things. Man must live as a being of prayer because we are helped through prayer. The Holy Spirit empowers us when we walk accordingly.

As heirs of the Kingdom, we have an identity on Earth. That identity is to fully function with divine authority over our spirit, soul, and body, and over the demonic realm. Man must rule over these things because that is the true nature of being made a new creation.

Salvation with it's Assurance and Evidence

We walk confidently in the assurance of salvation, knowing that we are saved by the Beloved. This assurance lives as evidenced in our lives.

Our lives should be a living testimony of faith, constantly drawing near to God (Heb. 10:22), and showing hope in our attitude to serve (Heb. 6:11) and in our understanding to love one another (Col. 2:2).

With such knowledge and evidence, we are internally renewed day by day. We embrace the joy of the Lord and His peace constantly covers our feet; giving us peace with God (Eph. 2:14). This internal evidence grants us complete rest in dominion and power.

His assurance reminds us that we have escaped the great condemnation. Thus, we walk with a clear conscience, free from sin and guilt through repentance and the blood of Jesus Christ (Rom. 9:1-5).

Externally, we must testify of this, sharing the testament of Christ Jesus and His full manifestation in us (a Christian life). "...Teaching us to say 'no' to ungodly and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age" (Tit. 2:12).

Our assurance of eternal salvation helps us walk as practicing believers, loving one another, continuing in the undiluted word of God, and bearing fruit each day.

Knowing the greatness of this gift, we understand that we will be bombarded every day, as the carnal mind is always active in opposing the truth. But as Romans 8:7-8 instructs us, we must take our thoughts captive by the Word of God, renewing our minds each day.

We must turn away from the worldly system, its deceits and lusts, avoiding anything unclean, and discipling those around us with the gospel of Christ.

Satan is an adversary who will never cease to try to hinder our progress, acting as a stumbling block. But through daily submission to God, he will flee.

Salvation is a hedge of protection around us, and within that wall, we have all that Christ Jesus died for us to have. We no longer need to carry the heavy weight of sin and shame because that ransom was paid on the cross.

The Confidence of Our Identity in Christ

When we took on Jesus Christ, we also embraced His death, participating in His crucifixion with the ultimate outcome which is His eternal glory. Persecutions and trials will inevitably come, but we are assured they are merely tests. After emerging victorious, we will don the Crown of Life in glory.

Through baptism and public confessions, we are baptized into His burial. At that moment, everything of the old self dies, and a new garment is bestowed upon us. Therefore, if we persist in living according to our old nature and its characteristics, we are not fully embracing His truth. We must discard all that belongs to the old self and embrace the new.

His infusion of life through the Holy Spirit is what transforms us. It corrects and instructs us, renewing our minds and aligning our hearts with His.

Just as Christ was resurrected, we too rose with Him. Romans 6:5 states, "For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection." Knowing this, our old selves were crucified with Him so that the power of sin might be nullified, freeing us from its enslavement.

In this resurrection, we are enthroned with Him, exalted above all principalities and powers, with authority over every name. Sin and death are placed beneath our feet. Therefore, whatever we bind on Earth is bound in Heaven, and whatever we loose on Earth is loosed in Heaven.

This is the confidence we carry each day, the identity garment bestowed upon His church. We are His church, complete in Him. Continue to tell this to yourself and keep a reminder when the devil tries to shift your focus.

So Great Salvation

The Gift of Salvation encompasses more than just eternal life or the forgiveness of sins; it comprises components accessible to the children of God through the blood of Jesus Christ.

As newborn believers, we must walk in total deliverance from demonic oppression, the bo***ge of sin, and its torments; in victory, peace, prosperity, glory and complete wholeness.

Victory is assured because the cross posed the ultimate challenge for the Savior during His crucifixion. Therefore, we must overcome all circumstances, both in body and soul.

We are promised supernatural sustenance (succor) from all works of darkness. Christ has subdued the enemy under His feet, rendering him powerless over God's children.

Isaiah 53:5 reminds us that Christ's wounds were for our healing and His bruises for our iniquity. As His peace was taken from Him, we are now entitled to that peace, rest and acceptance.

Through His likeness and completion on the cross, we are made whole, lacking nothing but to pursue this wholeness and prosper as children of God, not as those in need.

We are redeemed from all judgment and restored by the grace of Almighty God. Every believer who bears the name of Jesus Christ assumes His identity, righteousness, acceptance, blessings, and glory. This embodies the true essence of walking in Salvation, as Christ represented wholeness, completeness, and total victory for humanity. Walk in your freedom, and claim what this Great Salvation truly offers.

The Fall of Man and It's Effect

When man first sinned and fell, we lost the glory of God (His Image), His character, access to His presence, the authority to have dominion in the Earth, and everlasting life.

The reason why we as humans struggle to accept the beauty of what God created in us is because of sin. We often desire to emulate others and reject the blueprint of our Heavenly DNA.

We forfeited the power and authority to govern over the things in the Earth, yielding that authority to the god of this world, Satan. Consequently, sickness, poverty, sorrow, and death enters, for another has become our gatekeeper.

The presence of fellowship, instruction, and guidance from God was lost, allowing other spirits into our atmosphere. After death, this absence turns into hell, as we lost the key to eternal life. The Tree of Life was in the garden, yet man failed to observe, understand, and partake from it, instead they pursue knowledge.

Sin gave birth to lust and rebellion, a legacy that persists to this day.

But thanks be to God for Jesus Christ our Saviour, the second Adam who bore the sin of the world, ensuring that man would not perish. He is the bread of Life, and today we can feed on Him. Let us not relinquish our divine rights in the Earth but repent and adorn ourselves with God's glory (image).

The Prophet's Assigned Distractions

Anyone who is called to the office of the prophetic or carries the gift must be careful of three spirits: Pride, Jezebel, and Mammon.

It is easy to be used by God because of His zeal to show Himself strong through us. But never mistake God's grace for one's strength in the height of victory. God has the power to do whatsoever He pleases. Elijah was strengthened in the face of Jezebel's prophets, but the next day he ran in fear, forgetting that it was not his righteousness that took him this far. This error can linger with many of us blindly, without recognition.

One of Jezebel's greatest weapons is to curse, to cast terror into the hearts of God's people. Just as Balak tried to seduce Balaam into cursing a nation that God Himself did not curse. It is her DNA to remain in this nature to perform her priestly duties. Today, she still corrupts the hearts of God's messengers with lies, falsehoods, and twisted truths, to cast a stumbling block before them, removing grace from their lips and filling them with condemnation, allowing them to speak what was not instructed.

Her next weapon is perversion, the drive of sexual immorality in the body of Christ. She knows that every sin, whatever a person commits, is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. She uses it to divide the kingdom, for a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. And when it's divided, seven more enter.

Lastly, the Mammon Spirit. One must know that it is God who gives all things, including wealth and the wisdom to make wealth. One can never gain riches outside of God. If they do, it's not of God. Hence, money should not be our master; it should be the sovereign guidance of the Holy Spirit. Money must not be worshipped or used to manipulate others. Prophecy does not come through money; it comes when God decides to reveal His secrets to man. If prophecy has to come through the sowing of a seed, then that prophecy is defiled somewhere because it is guided by the lust of Mammon. Sowing is biblical, but its motives must be true. Do not be deceived as Christians, because every good gift comes from God. But gifts can be guided by the wrong spirit when acted upon in ignorance.

The gift of prophecy or the office of the Prophet must be free from all these distractions in order for God to be glorified through it. Without this, it is just false and misleading.
