Kickback Manchester
Saturday the 8th came round and I was up and out at 7am to get to Macclesfield where I dumped my bike and jumped on the Train to Manchester Piccadilly. I then transferred onto the Tram from the Station and 3 stops later arrived at the Gmex, Manchester’s Public Transport system is as good as it gets in the UK
I was surprised at the amount of people queuing up to get in, didn’t think that would be the case. Once I’d got a wrist band and the usual bag search it was off into the main Hall to see what awaited.
To be honest considering amount of hype that was published around the show and the mountain magazine coverage the Previous Kickback had attracted I was disappointed to see that the show took up less than a quarter of the Gmex Main Hall.
My usual barometer for any show it to take note of the number of people with Carrier bags who’ve bought items which tends to give an indication of peoples spending, everybody was walking round with empty hands which is a great shame for the stall holders and organisers.
Anyway, if you want a taste of the event, please feel free to flick through the photos and I love to hear your comments on what you think. Ok it was the first show in Manchester and let’s hope it continues to grow from strength to strength.
