The MERG OO9 layout caught my eye on Sunday morning a the Southampton show. I thought I had it all figured out until they asked if I wanted to see the fiddle yard (picture 2) my god it's a beauty!

I was blown away with how beautiful the "Spirit of Shap" as a layout is. The long sweeping curves and simple track design didn't detract from the layout, it made it easier to enjoy. I watched them performing an operation with a banking loco and was amazing to watch!

The biggest thanks of the whole weekend goes to my minion/goon Geggz. Geggz kept me fed, watered and ensured I took a break or two when needed!
He'll be tagging along at future shows and has ABSOLUTELY no interest in starting a model railway, which makes him the perfect person to take on 48hrs of trains 🤣🤣🤣

THIS WEEKEND! I'll be at the Southampton Model Railway show at Barton Peveril College in Eastleigh!
It's previously been a highlight of the year for me and this year I get to demonstrate at it!

I'll be in one of the side rooms weathering on the go!
So if you want to pop along and say hi or get your models weathered, I'll be there!
If you go from the main hall to the canteen/cafe. I'll be in one of the rooms on the way!

Managed to get the red stripe added on to these MK2 bodies. Tidied up some of the lines, then need to do the end of the coaches in black

Managed to get the airbrush out to weather the track.
Needed to take that shine off.
I added some more clump foliage too surrounding the tunnel.
