James: Just us playing with the 1930s Helicron cherished by Jeff Lane of the astonishing Lane Museum, Nashville, USA. Here’s my mate Chris having a go in the car park. The car was found in a barn in 2000 and restored using a flat-four Citroën GS engine to power the propellor. It’s road legal (in France, at least) and will apparently do 75mph. Not that we tried…
James: Happy Monday! Show us your fast Ford! We travelled to Thurso in Scotland for an outstanding Fiesta XR2 restoration, which is featured in the current issue of Practical Classics.
James: Just an old Fiat with a motorcycle engine? Absolutely not. This 128 is a precision piece of engineering - the creation of one man in his shed. Full story in the current issue of the magazine!
MT: Behind the scenes of your March issue cover shoot, in which we test drive our projects to deepest Cornwall! Where have you taken your classic this winter?

Ford Fiesta Mk2
Ford Orion
Honda CR-X

James: The short-lived 1973 Michelotti styled Leyland P76 - built in Australia with bits of suspension also found on the (then soon to be unveiled) Rover SD1 and a 4.4-litre version of the Rover V8. Project 76 was dead by ‘76 but it’s something of a cult car these days. This one lives in West Yorkshire.
Noise of the year... ERA GP2 without silencer. Never was 1500cc so uncouth.
James: In 1956, Mike Hawthorn took us all on a little jaunt around Le Mans in a D-Type.
MT: Show us your drop-top classics. Here's what I'll be lapping up the winter rays in this year. Full story coming soon in the magazine.
Silverstone! In the current issue of the magazine we take our classics to the circuit to support our Tomkins, who took to the track in the Austin 7 special he built himself at home in his shed. It’s a cracking story - hope you like it!
