Following the recent launch of the Perth and Kinross Alcohol and Drug Partnership weekly Recovery Cafe at the Salvation Army's Cafe 3:16 on King Edward Street in Perth, we're pleased to confirm that from this Saturday, 3 August 2024, a Recovery Cafe will be held on the first Saturday of each month at Churches Action for The Homeless (CATH) Community Hub, Unit 20, St Catherine's Road, Perth from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Each event is open to anyone who has experienced issues with alcohol, drugs (including prescription medications) or their mental health, and is a safe space to share advice and support on recovery.

Beginning tomorrow, Thursday 11 July 2024, the Perth and Kinross Alcohol and Drug Partnership will be running a weekly Wellbeing Cafe event at Cafe 3:16 on King Edward Street, Perth each Thursday from 12noon to 3pm.

Aimed at providing a safe space for anyone who has experienced issues with alcohol, drugs (including prescription medications) and mental health, the Wellbeing Cafe will offer coffee and biscuits, and soup and rolls, alongside sharing support and advice on recovery and sessions of groupwork and other activities designed to help improve wellbeing.

Detectives in Perth are appealing for information following an attempted robbery.

Around 4.30pm on Tuesday, 28 May, 2024, a 33-year-old man was walking on Bute Drive in Perth when he was approached by three males who attempted to rob him.

The victim sustained minor injuries and the three males ran off from the scene.

Detective Inspector Simon Murray, of Perth CID, said: “Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

“The area where this occurred would likely have been busy around the time so I would urge anyone who saw or heard anything to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information can call 101, quoting incident 2526 of 28 May. Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously with the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Today at The Hub, a representative from all 22 Climate Action Hubs in Scotland, 82 people in total came together for The Climate Action Hub Gathering facilitated by The Scottish Government.
We came together today to network, learn from one another and explore further how we can collectively support each other to support our communities to be empowered and ready to take forward climate action in their areas.
