Which symbolic gesture would you love to introduce into your celebrant led ceremony?
In addition to your traditional ring exchange, why not choose a symbolic gesture like a sand ceremony or a hand binding ceremony?
The sand used during your sand ceremony symbolises your unity, and like the sand in the vessel, the grains can no longer be separated, and so shall your lives forever be intertwined.
Lovely 💜?
Or you can choose a hand binding ceremony where the colour of the ribbons symbolises your birth month colour or simply your favourite colours or the colours can represent the place where you met or the country where your love story began.
We can even ask your family and friends to bless the ribbons for you to tie the knot during your ceremony.

My secret wedding day hack

The night before your wedding, I pack my bag, and I make sure I tick my checklist to ensure all the essentials are ready.
I also pack tissues for the tears of joy and wipes and chalk for quick stain removal.
A pen to sign the commitment certificate.
And it is important for me to wear the right outfit for your wedding.
I choose the clothes to fit the kind of ceremony you are planning, like indoors or outdoors.

The night before your wedding I make sure I am ready and prepared for your perfect day ceremony.

What I dislike at weddings is
Seeing an ocean of mobiles in every row at wedding ceremonies.

More and more couples are asking me to announce that their wedding is an unplugged wedding.
NO PHONES ALLOWED

I feel a bit down in spirt.
Francie has a tendon injury and no riding for a while.
She has to rest and keeping her quiet is not easy.
Not sure about timescale yet. But time is not something we have. We are not getting younger.
Fingers crossed she will recover soon.

Why did I become a wedding celebrant?
The answer to this is: Purely by accident, to be honest!

It was during Covid that I decided I needed a career change.

After helping 150 students to achieve their qualifications, I decided that it was time for me to look at what I wanted to do with my future.

Being hopelessly romantic, I have always loved a good wedding and being in the business of LOVE seemed an amazing career to be in, and when I listened to a radio programme on my way to College I heard about the amazing work celebrants can do.

My mind was made up in an instance.

SO, I did some research, and I found just the right training provider for me and my new career and I enrolled with the lovely to train.
Obviously, it was not always easy to retrain during Covid, but life leads you into some unexpected pathways and my very first wedding was a bilingual German /English wedding for V and A in Devon.
They appreciated that I was able to give them the personal and bespoke ceremony to include their children, which the registry office could not provide for them. It made me so happy to see them all joining into the ceremony.
I have always loved a challenge and starting a wedding business during Covid seemed a silly idea at the time but with the help and support from my family and my number 1 fan [Andy my husband] I became the celebrant I am now.
Becoming a celebrant was a career change, yes, but this is a vocation with amazing people at the heart of it all, and I love holding their space on their wedding day.

I love nothing more than being in the business of LOVE!!!!!
