Kirkton Farm, Doune was the venue for the 2024 Strathearn & West Perthshire Summer Show and Vivid-Images.com was there for an excellent day of photography at this fabulous facility in the Central Belt of Scotland. My thanks goes to the organisers and all of the staff at this event for allowing me to join them for the day - it was great to see so many competitors joining in!

This weekend saw Vivid-Images.com travel to the 2023 Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials for a casual wander around this well-organised event...with the camera perched in the hip-holster, always at the ready. In between shifts helping out the boss at Barcaldine Botanicals this weekend at the busy 2023 Mid-Argyll Agricultural Show, Vivid-Images.com sneaked off with a fully-charged camera with one objective in mind...to capture the efforts of the equestrian community who had also travelled to Lochgilphead to compete in the show rings especially for the occasion! A journey over to Lettershuna Arena & Stables with my fiancee Carolyn Taylor-MacLarty and daughter, Mia, saw Vivid-Images.com enjoying a day of showjumping in the arena with our daughter, Mia alongside other members of the North Argyll branch of the Pony Club and other participants from around west Highlands. A great day out and thank you to Ethel Johnstone for hosting the event...here's a few photos taken during the day.

Stone circles, a castle and a museum showing a selection of neolithic and bronze age remains would normally be sufficient to entice visitors to the village of Kilmartin in Argyll. On this occasion, however, it was the annual Kilmartin Horse Show that saw Vivid-Images.com venturing out to capture the equestrian eventing at this well-attended event.

This weekend, why not come and join us for a fun-filled horse show on Sunday, 4th June at the Oban and District Riding Club and North Argyll Pony Club joint Annual Open Show - a great day out!

The location is Dalintober Farm, Benderloch (Google the postcode PA37 1SA for directions) and starts at 8.45am with the 'Tack and Turn-Out' Class followed by 'In Hand', 'Showing' and 'Working Hunter' all commencing at 9.15am.
