Circle of Light is a Nottingham community music project, originally releasing an album with local record label I'm Not From London, and since then performing around Nottingham and working on other local projects and events.

COL crew had a superb day at this week, with members delivering panels, performing live, networking, learning and generally having fun! Our young creatives got to enjoy a wealth of experience and knowledge being shared by industry insiders from across the UK connecting to grow the East Mids music scene. Shout out to and for putting on such a valuable and successful event, we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Big love and thanks to all who made the COL Jam Session a super fun weekend - a great way to start the year off and we can’t wait for the incredible songs and sounds that resulted to find their way to your ears! Well done to all who took part, as always it was a pleasure and privilege to host such a varied, enthusiastic and talented bunch of young musicians. Thanks to our funders for making it possible!

Big congratulations to and .ii.m.r.a.n_ on winning the award for Best Original Track (Group) sponsored by for their track ‘Confused’ - taken from the album ‘Circle of Light’ - which we’ve always known was a solid gold classic! Written, recorded, produced and engineered entirely by themselves the track is a testament to what a bunch of talented women can do. We’re all really proud of them and the journey they’ve taken to become award winning artists ###

Can you believe it?! COL started 4 years ago - yup, it’s our birthday! 🥳🎂🎁🎉🍾

We’ve released 4 albums, started a label, built a recording studio and played the biggest stages in the city. We’ve made music, friends, connections and a whole new creative community.

Shout out to all the wonderful, talented young people who’ve put their all into supporting each other and producing fantastic music, events, podcasts and more.

Shout out to all the mentors, practitioners, creative professionals, industry insiders and providers who’ve
passed on the skills, knowledge, care and experience that up and coming artists need to grow and succeed.

Huge thanks to everyone in Nottingham and beyond who’s supported us through the years - from our first project at , our home since then at and , partners for co-developing innovative qualifications pathways for young people, for access to and info on innovative music tech, and for spectacular venues to host our live events in, for constant support of the project and our artists, for funding projects and everyone else who’s helped to make a difference for so many young people.

Of course our biggest thanks goes to our main funders , who have kept us active and accessible to the people we serve - we literally couldn’t have done it without you!
