We at Shima Onida believe that the breeding of dogs is a very important profession, all our dogs are health tested. They are also evaluated to ensure that they have the best temperaments before they are bred from. Our dogs are first and foremost a part of our family and are valued pets, yes we do breed but we to date only have 2 litters a year because we believe in quality not quantity. We do not
churn out endless litters a year and will never do so! Our dogs are shown in breed specific shows as they and we enjoy it. However at home they take our coach and chairs they sleep on our beds and share our lives completely. They do not live in kennels nor are they put in kennels if we go away if we can help it. They meet many people and enjoy all the attention they can get. Here on our page we try to show you all aspects of their day to day life. We have owned these beautiful creatures for 8 years nearly 9 now and have never looked back, they are very affectionate animals and love us unconditionally. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as we do. Our mission is to breed the best most lovable pups we possibly can and place them in the best most suitable homes that we can, you will see many pics from the owners of our puppies which is great as we like to be involved in their lives all the way through, we are one big doggy family and that's just how we like it. We like most other breeders have waiting lists for our fur babies, so if you decide you would like one please be prepared to answer a myriad of questions about yourselves and your dog experience, we do not place puppies unless you fit our criteria (only because we like them to go to the best homes we can) Also be prepared to sign a contract for said puppy as this is done to ensure the safety of the pups and make sure we do not loose contact with the owners. We are not intrusive but like to get the odd regular update and photo to see how they are developing and looking. We also welcome visits from people to meet our pack and see if indeed they are the dog for you.
