Early heads up on overnight road closures coming up.

📣We’re making the A14 between junctions 1 and 2 safer and smoother by resurfacing both carriageways and renewing all road markings.

⛔For your safety as well as that of our workforce we’ll need full closures of the A14 between junctions 1 and 2 in both directions so will divert traffic via the A5199 and A508 or vice versa.

👷‍♂️We’ll work overnight, Monday to Friday, between 8pm and 6am, from 13 to 24 January.

🚧Please follow signed diversions rather than sat navs and allow extra time for your journey.

Due to the weather forecast predicting sub-zero temperatures across North Northamptonshire, the Council is triggering it’s Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP). SWEP is likely to remain operational for 3 nights, but this will be kept under daily review.

The Rough Sleeping and Housing Options Teams have been working closely to ensure that all known and verified rough sleepers have been offered accommodation from this evening.

The whereabouts and identity of any person sleeping rough should be reported to the Rough Sleeping Team during office hours, and to the Council’s Out of Hours Service at all other times as follows:
