Saltburn Ice Trail - Saltburn town centre
Saturday 17 December, 10am – 4pm Pre booking required!

A frosty winter adventure is coming to Saltburn…
After the success of last year’s Ice Trail, renowned ice sculptors Sand In Your Eye will return – but this time to Saltburn, placing nine amazing ice sculptures across the town, creating a wonderful one-day trail with pop up festive performances, for families and folks to discover.
Just drop in across the day, grab yourself an ice trail sheet (either print your own or pick one up from one of the event stewards around on the day) and check off each sculpture as you find it by following this handy guide. Those that complete this festive frosty walk will also receive a small prize and be entered into a special competition!
You will also be able to experience a live ice carve and see the talented artists at Sand In Your Eye at work AND there will also be an ice workshop where the elves can help you write your letter to Santa and post them first class to his workshop in a very own special ice post box!
And if that isn’t enough enjoyment throughout the day there will be an array of festive performances and walk about theatre across the day.

Until the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022!

1. 72 nations and territories are planning to send teams to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games

2. Around 6,500 athletes and team officials will be coming to Birmingham for the Games

3. There are 19 sports and eight Para sports that will feature making it the biggest sports programme ever for a Commonwealth Games

4. Women’s cricket will be included for the first time, and it is the first time that T20 cricket has ever been included in the Commonwealth Games

5. Although the full court, five aside version of basketball has been included before, this will be the first time basketball 3x3 has featured

6. Wheelchair basketball 3x3 has also been included in the Games for the very first time

7. The addition of wheelchair basketball means there will be more Para sport than ever before

8. At the Commonwealth Games, Para sport is integrated into the sports programme, so if you have tickets for sports like swimming or athletics you will get to see Para athletics and Para swimming too

9. For the first time ever mixed synchronised diving has been included in the Commonwealth Games

10. Beach volleyball will be taking place for only the second time at the Commonwealth Games and this sport was added to the Birmingham 2022 sports programme in August 2019
