ELOPEMENTS SPECIAL // Eine Hochzeit zu zweit ist etwas ganz Besonderes… und Vorallem Intimes… Deswegen möchten viele Paare kein komplettes Foto/Videoteam um sich herum haben. Das ist Zuviel oder?

Doch wie willst Du dich entscheiden? Es gibt wenig professionelle Fotograf*innen, die Foto und Video in einem Paket bieten und wenn doch …kommen sie dann zu zweit. Oder: Viele Fotograf*innen bieten ein bisschen Video an. Das sich dann aber von den Fotos kaum unterscheidet, kein Originalton dabei ist usw.

⚡️Niemand mit Film-Brain bietet auch Hochzeitsfotos an?

- [ ] BE MY FRIEND // Ganz ehrlich: wer will schon, dass eine wildfremde Person den Tag mit einem verbringt und alles standardmäßig aufnimmt…

Nein, ein Hochzeitsfilm ist ein einmaliges Fest, wie ätzend wäre das, wenn da so ein Fremdkörper herumlungert und wie ein Paparazzi heimlich Bilder schießt.

Meine Methode ist ganz anders. Ich verstecke mich nicht hinter Bäumen, ich passe mich dem Umfeld an und das geht am besten als Freundin!

KNÖPFCHEN DRÜCKEN: Ich sehe es als meine Pflicht euch zu sagen. Man kann sich auf Knopfdruck verlieben. Jedesmal wenn ihr auf eurem Bildschirm „Play“ drückt und euer Hochzeitsfilm abspielt. Man kann in einer Beziehung viele Knöpfchen drücken. Deshalb überlegt es euch gut. Denn ein Hochzeitsfilm kann nur einmal gemacht werden 🥰.

TUNING into Miri + Ferdi‘s wedding. I am at minute 2 and it is already an emotional rollercoaster. At the start of each wedding - I listen. Before I switch on the camera, I close my eyes and tune in. Same thing for the editing… What has been said, what did I hear… Music and audio recording are incredibly important in every video. Times have long gone when a wedding video was only a collage of beautiful clips and music. Audio and sound design takes up more time than people know. So here is a pic of me recording the wind and .bohn.fotografie snapping away hehe. Thank you for the BTS. ⚡️

I am a bride to be and finding a videographer for my own wedding is hard. None of the thousand videos I see out there feel „ME“.* 🫧

My BIG Question: If it is hard for me finding a videographer , how must it be for other like-minded couples? Who aren’t part of the wedding industry?

A sweet little cat following Amy and Will throughout the day. Do you believe in reincarnation? Well the has surprised us before when a sweet little bird nested directly next to the venue. It looked exactly like the wren which the groom had on his buttons to remember his diseased mother. I have witnessed butterflies and all sorts of animals joining in the celebrations. Magical! Watch out who is coming to visit you, on your wedding day.

Money talks //

My Instagram feed mirrors the inside of my head: a chaos consisting of world crisis and total escapism.
I am mostly grateful for having built a brand that attracts the kindest and coolest couples.
The last weddings I shot this year all reflected this immense gratefulness despite the escapades.

I see that booking me as a videographer has become a total luxury and whilst so many colleagues in my industry are either making or attending courses to shoot their dream clients high-end weddings, I am looking to find ways to make videography available to people like me. To be honest, I couldn’t afford myself, which is pretty sad. So If you are like me there are several options: Either you can pay in rates, which feels a lot lighter to digest OR I have been thinking about this for a while now…
If there is no way your budget allows to go over 1000 €, I will offer you a NEW Package.

This will include a day of shooting and making a ceremony and speeches film. Instead of editing a full-length wedding documentary I will create a banging Highlight-Film.
This Package isn’t on my website and won’t be advertised. So if you know someone who really wanted a wedding film but couldn’t afford the big deals, let them know that there is a videographer out there who cares to tell everyones story.

My other Packages for 2023 are most likely to go up before December 2022 so if you are thinking of booking me as your videographer in 2023, please get in touch ASAP.

Gesucht: Verliebte, Verlobte noch nicht Verheiratet.

Es gibt ja mittlerweile viele Hochzeitsvideograf:innen… mit soviel Auswahl ist es manchmal schwer den oder die Richtige zu finden.

Die Ästhetik sollte gefallen, aber vor allem darf der Hochzeitsfilm NICHT wie ein Werbefilm wirken. Finde Ich. Wie geht es euch als Paar?
Habt ihr schonmal gesucht? Werdet ihr auch von soviel Werbehochzeiten geblendet?

Deswegen dachte ich mir, ich schicke mal diese Nachricht in den Werbekanal und vielleicht haben wir ja somit das Glück zueinander zu finden…

Mir ist wichtig, dass ein Hochzeitsfilm:

- Keinen Werbe-charakter hat
- Erinnert.
- Interessante Bildästhetik
- Mehr Mensch und weniger Stillaufnahmen beinhaltet
- Paare in der Einzigartigkeit feiert
- Spaß macht
- Immer wieder neues darin entdeckt wird.

Ich nehme nur 15 Paare jedes Jahr auf, damit ich mit dem selben Enthusiasmus und Freude an die Arbeit rangehen kann.
Außerdem ist mir der persönliche Kontakt zu meinen Paaren immens wichtig. Mein Ziel ist es bis zur Hochzeit wie eine Freundin mit Kamera für euch zu sein.

Nein, ein Hochzeitsfilm ist ein einmaliges Fest, ich sollte alles über dich wissen und deine Freunde und Eltern Tanten beim Namen kennen.

Ich suche nach Pärchen, denen all das genauso wichtig ist wie mir. Schaut doch mal bei meiner Webseite vorbei, da findet ihr wie so 20-30 Minüter geschnitten sind. Das ist was ganz anderes als hier auf Instagram. Außerdem könnt ihr dort auch meine Packages sehen und vergleichen.

It is very likely that your videographer has done all of these in the whole course of creating you the best wedding keepsake one could imagine…
Written bespoke quotes and personal emails. bought just 1 more SD card as a back up. 100 cups of coffee 2-3 Meeting with you on phone zoom or personal Studied your story and got a feel for who you are and what you love and care about Enquired about your family dynamics followed your Insta-Life as a way to connect with you on a day to day basis. Making interesting contacts at your weddings Getting excited about you and your friend’s crazy dance moves! Having the biggest Wedding-Hangover (not from drinking too much) Spending whole days listening to music (if you haven’t already given some input in music-choices) 50-60 hours of editing all of your films. Getting super excited to hear about how you experience watching your wedding back. Feeling deflated when we don’t hear back only to get a text the next morning… “Just been busy watching this film OVER and OVER and OVER again.. had s*x, fell asleep… We are over the moon.”

Jac & Ben had the most turbulent of Wedding postponement-stories that I know of. They are the couple that booked me first, when coming to Cornwall and the last ones to get married. In between, they had two baby girls (not twins) and big life events that shaped their family. Watch for yourselves what Ben had to say about this. It is heartwarming and hilarious. You can't help but feel happy for them, now they finally tied the knot. Their strong love for each other shines through the film. I know how cliche this always sounds, but I couldn't make great films without great couples. I really hope these kind of couples keep on finding me, because it makes my work fun and meaningful.
Meaningful, is probably the biggest aspect I try to search in my potential clients. I want them to marry because it means something to them. Ben and Jac, they really wanted to get married and no doubt you can see why in their film. Besides showing their love story for each other it was also important to capture family and friends in their natural way. Whilst for outstanding people, the mingling parts could seem a bit "boring" I am not worried one bit that in years to come, Ben & Jac and their entire family will look back on this and even wanting more of it. That is why I leave so many candids in the weddingfilm. Because they mean something to them.

I wish them all the most adventurous of lives.

BEST VENUES IN CORNWAAL + DEVON // Before I leave this beautiful place, I thought to give my favourite venues a shout out. I would love to give you the space to tag your most favourite venues here… To be fair, everywhere I shot is incredibly beautiful. Yet, there where some that truly stood out for me! Mostly because of the combination of management (before and on the day) and the beauty/feel of the place itself.

Start with yurt hire: Most beautiful and eye-catching Yurt!! Inside and outside.
Tredudwell, A stunning Manor House, incredibly versatile reception new build (blank canvas),
mega friendly + caring management, close to cliff tops.
Caerhays Estate with marquee on the beach!! Wild and beautiful. Incredibly Picturesque wherever you look.

Wow, everything, wow! High end - relaxing, Outstanding management, Gooood Food!!!.

CONGRATULATIONS JAC + BEN // Yesterday’s weather was just such a mirror of their wedding journey. What started with hope for great weather, turned into a turbulent and windy morning. It was cold to begin with and didn’t look too good. Nonetheless Jac and Ben decided to proceed with their plans of having an outdoor Ceremony….
Jac and Ben booked me in 2019 and rearranged twice, not only did Covid prolong their wedding journey, they also had two beautiful baby girls (not twins)!! So two and a half years later, the stars aligned. Somehow the hopeless looking clouds blew away and the sunshine appeared not only in the sky but also on their faces. They so deserved this yesterday.
I can’t wait to show everyone more of this with some pretty epic outtakes. who can guess?

CHRIS + BLESSIE // It is their first dance as Husband & Wife. Blessie has lived in the UK for several years now and found her extended family by choice. Life has been challenging for them: they couldn’t properly see each other for 6 months over lockdown. Blessie is a nurse and needed to protect her patients. So she among other colleagues isolated together in what they called the “Covid house”. It was tough. Chris and her stuck together despite going through a hard time: living in separate places and only being able to see each other in the park on the other end of the bench, must have really been crazy. I can’t even imagine… Fast forward they got engaged and finally married within a small circle of their closest friends and family including Covid House - mates.
So you can see I left them dancing in the video. It might seem long for social media. For me it is still too short. I like to dwell in these moments, I want to just stay in them. May Blessie & Chris dance happily ever after.
The first dance is one of my personal favourite parts of the day. What is yours?

INTRO Part1 // Jac & Ben’s Intro to their film. Soon their wedding will be on my blog for future couples to see how a long film can look like. I am really excited for all the future weddings. Instead of speeding up and pressing as much content into short edits I want to slow down. I myself like to bathe in music and stay in Moment as long as I can. So future films will see a lot more of that documentary character, like in Jac & Bens edit. Having said that. One film never looks like the other. I can never tell what is going to be the end result. My edits are intentional, but I also let myself guide by the flow of the feel and music. Hence picking music before the edit is essential. KERRIE + MARC // So in love with these two. They trusted, they showed their vulnerability and what you see is just a glimpse of their beautiful and authentic wedding film. It isn't only fun, it touches on a beautiful love story of two souls finding each other and forming a new family. . For me this wedding was an incredible celebration. I witnessed so much kindness, forgiveness, love and embracement of the imperfect perfection. Patchwork families who give absolutely everything for each other. Chris and her stuck together despite going through a hard time: living in separate places and only being able to see each other in the park on the other end of the bench, must have really been crazy. I can’t even imagine… Fast forward they got engaged and finally married within a small circle of their closest friends and family including Covid House - mates. . So you can see I left them dancing in the video. It might seem long for social media. For me it is still too short. I like to dwell in these moments, I want to just stay in them. May Blessie & Chris dance happily ever after. . The first dance is one of my personal favourite parts of the day. What is yours?

NACH DER ZEREMONY // Ich frag mich wie sich Jordan in diesem Moment gefühlt hat… Es sieht so ein bisschen aus wie Erleichterung. Erleichterung endlich verheiratet zu sein? Im Moment ankommen und realisieren, dass er jetzt mit Ashleigh verheiratet ist? . Ich liebe übrigens diese Imperfekten Aufnahmen. Ich könnte natürlich alles mit meinem Schwebestativ aufnehmen, aber dann geht so viel Stimmung verloren. Alles aus der Hand zu filmen kommt auch natürlich mit vielen anderen Vorteilen. Es ist weniger auffällig, Ich kann schnell in lustigen Momenten reagieren. Das Resultat wirkt authentisch und das ist mein größtes Ziel. Ich stehe das überhaupt nicht aus wenn ein Hochzeitsfilm aussieht wie eine Parfümwerbung. Ich kann euch einfach nicht genug sagen, wie wichtig mir es ist einen authentischen Film eurer Hochzeit zu kreieren, der visuelle Tiefe erzeugt und auf keinen Fall mit einem Chanel Werbefilm verwechselt werden kann! Wie wäre das einen Moment noch einmal erleben zu dürfen? Diesen kurzen Moment direkt nach der Zeremonie zum Beispiel? HOCHZEITS-KONSERVE // Es ist schon wieder passiert. Gerade habe ich mich dabei erwischt den Beitrag in Englisch zu verfassen, dabei möchte ich doch jetzt langsam zu deutsch switchen. Vielleicht werde ich eine Weile auf Denglisch weitermachen und hoffen, dass Insta-translate das für euch schafft. . Wenn ich an Janis & Chris Hochzeit zurückdenke bin ich echt so glücklich darüber, dass auch ältere Pärchen zu mir kommen. Das war eine so schöne private Feier, voller reicher Momente. Reich im Sinne von, das war nicht nur eine Hochzeitsfeier sondern auch das allererste Zusammenkommen nach Covid. Die Stimmung war beschwingend und leicht. . Rückblickend, gewinnen Hochzeitsfilme immer mehr an Bedeutung. Die Zeit steht einfach nicht still. Wir haben alle unsere verrückten Familien-Zusammensetzungen und niemand ist perfekt. Doch in dieser Imperfektion entsteht für mich die Schönheit. Wenn ich daran denke wie all diese Menschen im Film zu diesem Zeitpunkt gemeinsam glücklich waren. So Momente muss man einfach konservieren. So schön und wichtig Hochzeitsbilder sind, ein richtig guter Film deiner Hochzeit hat nochmal einen ganz anderen Wert. NOSTALGIE // Einen Hochzeitsfilm sehe ich als Schiffchen, dass einen sanft in die Vergangenheit reisen lässt und einen wieder zurückholt. Dankbar. Wie auch die Realität hat der Hochzeitsfilm ein Ende. Aber das schöne daran, du kannst dir den Film immer und immer wieder ansehen. Zurück schippern und deine Liebsten Menschen noch einmals lachen sehen. Freunde und Familie, wie sie glücklich sind und vielleicht sogar lustige Dinge anstellen oder sagen. Wertvolle Menschen in wertvolle Momenten. Was wird der Hochzeitsfilm für dich bedeuten in Zukunft? Obwohl ich die ganze Überdokumentation des Lebens nicht ausstehen kann, bin ich doch tief dankbar in einer Zeit zu leben, in der ich dieses Schifflein für Menschen bauen darf. Es sind einfach so kostbare Momente wenn Familie und Freunde zweier Seiten zusammen kommen. Nicht nur für dich und deine:n Partner:in sondern auch für die gesamte Familie. C&S’s legendary #Glastonshirley . Late post today to fit the party theme. Looking at Charlotte & Scott’s wedding I realize how long the party bit is. Every scene seems a bit long compared to the fast edits of other videographers. But I can get so lost in the beauty of every little movement. I generally realized that I edit longer videos than other filmers. I just can’t imagine that my couples could miss out on any beautiful details and there is just too much on a day like this. The speed of the internet is so fast and therefore I enjoy long shots and edits more than ever. You can really lean into that feeling and hold on to it.
