RE : Peel RE:Peel is a night Lou & Rob organise to bring like-minded local DJs to the decks. We do events too.

RE:Peel's offerings are a welcome slice of music from the more interesting edge of things, as championed by John Peel in particular. On the first Saturday of every month, we play the stuff you don't normally hear on a night out, the sort of stuff you want to hear, the sort of stuff you'd play yourself, the sort of stuff you'd forgotten about and when it comes on, well, that's why you're there. A huge influence for discovering new music going decades back - & specifically highlighting the era this page focuses on - was the magazine, Zig Zag (as is evident from our cover image). Focusing it's format and coverage from 1976 to & thereafter (+ every splinter genre at the time), this Zig Zag poll from 47 years ago this past week in December 1978 presents the voice & opinion of the then generation.
