In light of the recent spate of major corporations spitting their dummies out over diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) let me make myself clear on where I, my staff and my business will always stand.
We love diversity. We live for equality. We strive for inclusion. We stand WITH those who identify as whoever the heck they want, however the heck they want. Honestly, it's none of our business, and we are grateful for and very much value your business. You do you and please know that here, at Prohibition, you will be welcome and you will be safe. We've got you. 😊

We are a diverse, equal and inclusive space. We always have been and always will be. For our performers, for our staff, for you. Without diversity, equality and inclusion this world would be a VERY boring place. We only get one shot around this crackers Earth folks, so make it count, be yourself and simply allow others the same courtesy. Easy peasy! 😁 🙏🏼❤️

Gan canny you lovely lot! ~ Mitch 🥃

If you haven't been yet - Jam Jar Cinema is a local, friendly, affordable and inclusive cinema in the heart of Whitley Bay. Forget your big multiplex cinema - Jam Jar offer a cosy hug rather than a corporate handshake! 🤗

(Just so you know....Jam Jar Cinema is a historic idea where you used to be able to get into the cinema at a discounted rate, or for free, on production of a Jam Jar!! It spread to cinemas all over the country, mainly in areas of heavy industry like Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield & Glasgow; where it was known as J’eely Jar Cinema).

Bridget Jones Mad About The Boy (15), starts Thurs 13.
Renée Zellweger returns to the role that established a romantic-comedy heroine for the ages.
Some screenings have sold out so extra show times have been added to meet demand.👉🏼

BEHOLD, WE WILL DO A NEW THING
An exhibition of new paintings by Paul Harvey, from original posters and record covers by Chris Morton

PREVIEW THIS SATURDAY
Sat 8th Feb, 2-4pm in our Gallery
All welcome

This collaboration between legendary designer Chris Morton, aka C-More-Tone, and acclaimed painter Paul Harvey explores the (sometimes) difficult relationship between fine art and graphic design…

It will discuss process in the pre- & post digital age and how different processes relate to the act of creativity, and will propose that the term ‘Graphic Artist ’be rehabilitated and celebrated.

Morton was the original art director at Stiff Records from 1976, producing many of the record covers and publicity for some of their most important and influential artists. He went freelance in 1983, subsequently working for the likes of Scott Walker, Tom Verlaine, The Cramps, Philip Glass, Dire Straits and Siouxsie & The Banshees amongst many others.

Harvey has been involved in the Stuckist art movement since 2001 and has had significant solo shows of his work both at home and abroad including London, Prague, Opava and Turin.

Find out more about the artists and the exhibition here > https://newcastle-arts-centre.co.uk/behold-we-will-do-a-new-thing/
