Still in shock at news of the passing of John Hannon this week. John was key to the creation of the label, having a hand in the production of every release as well as bringing his exceptional musicianship and creative skills - and giving me the self belief to attempt it all in the first place. He was also generous, kind, encouraging, wise and modest, never one to shout about his achievements, which were myriad - from the critically acclaimed Liberez to a brush with major label stardom in Understand, and the vast number of recordings for acts big and small whom would seek out his skills at his legendary No Recording Studio (or just No as he preferred it). He leaves a huge musical legacy which will be marked in the fullness of time, but for now a heartfelt thank you to the man who made all this possible, was a best friend and musical mentor and will be missed by so many.
