THE MISSION
Episode 15
© Ayo Omolayo

Since we couldn't get an affordable shelter, we decided to rest under a cozy tree. I tried my best to find sleep as the cold and insects flying around made sure finding sleep was impossible.

I noticed how Tunde at his own little corner laid down and in a few minutes he was gone. He slept soundly after reciting a particular scripture which I had clearly, 'He gives his beloved sleep.'

That word stuck in my head as it was obvious I was going to spend the night awake. Tunde was able to sleep and I was struggling to sleep. Does that mean God loves him more than me? Of course God will choose him 100 times more than me.

If there is anybody God was not supposed to have any business with, I'm the one. I betrayed him over and over and even tried to push Tunde into breaking his fellowship with him. So if God was going to punish me by choosing not to give me sleep, I deserved it.

"HE GIVES HIS BELOVED SLEEP." Came the gentle voice in my head.

"Why would you choose to give sleep to only his beloved? What does that mean anyway? What does it mean to give his beloved sleep?"

"REMEMBER WHAT TUNDE TAUGHT YOU ABOUT THE WOMAN WHO DECIDED TO DISTURB JESUS UNTIL SHE GOT THE ANSWER TO HER PRAYERS."

"Yeah! That story would never erase itself from my memory. It is the first bible study I have had after getting born again. I don't think I will ever forget it for the rest of my life."

"GOOD, IT MEANS IT IS GOD'S DUTY TO PROVIDE YOU SLEEP. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ONE PERSON IS GOD'S FAVOURITE, WHILE HE HATES THE OTHER PERSON."

"So why am I struggling to sleep?"

"HAVE YOU HEARD THIS SCRIPTURE BEFORE THAT SAYS YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE?"

"Yeah!"

"THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE. YOU DON'T KNOW AND THAT IS THE REASON WHY THE ENEMIES IS STEALING WHAT LEGALLY BELONGS TO YOU. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO CLAIM WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED YOU IN HIS WORD. THROUGH FAITH AND PRAYERS, DECLARING WHAT YOU BELIEVE WITH THE WORDS OF YOUR MOUTH."

"Hmmmmmmm! I believe the word of God is true. I do not have to struggle to sleep, because he gives his beloved sleep. Though I am in the midst of this forest with a worried and trembling heart, beating in my chest, I know he gives his beloved sleep.

The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want anything. He makes me lie down in green pastures. Father, give your beloved sleep. Let my body, soul and spirit obey your word, because Tunde said your word is more powerful than anything.

He said your word does not return to you empty. He also said you are not a liar that everything you promised me in your word is my. But you said I must be ready to claim it and insist in prayers until I see them manifest. I don't really know if what I'm doing is right, but I know that you are supposed to give me sleep.

Lord I want to sleep and I need you to help me do that. Cause my body to fall asleep in the name of Jesus!"

I guess this was the first prayer I ever prayed as a child of God. I have never really prayed to God before and I was doing it because I needed to sleep badly. The forest was cold and full of different bugs that we are ready to bite. But I still needed to sleep in the midst of all this.

It was as if those words I spoke to God came alive. I remember Tunde telling me that Jesus said that the words that he speaks unto us are spirit and life. So Jesus does not just speak empty or dead words. Whenever Jesus speaks, his words begin to perform whatever he said.

So if Jesus said be healed, that word begins to make people that are sick to be healed. It means the words of God have life and can do anything.

I began to notice how dizzy I became and I laid down. I opened my eyes to find Tunde in his kneeling position praying. I remember what he called it this time, quiet time. Ever since we have been in the forest, he always wakes up very early in the morning to perform this ritual. He says he's having fellowship with God. I really wish I could do the same.

"WHY NOT? GO AHEAD AND JOIN HIM!" Said the gentle voice.

Why was I always talking to myself these days? I sat up and began to watch him in order to get a clue on what to imitate.

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO STRUGGLE DOING THAT. MEET HIM AND TELL HIM YOU WANT TO JOIN HIM."

"But he's with God, I don't think he would want to be disturbed from his fellowship with him."

"JUST GIVE IT A TRY AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS."

"Okay! Sharon, I really don't know why you are talking to yourself, but it is well with you," I said that I stood up and walked up to where he was playing.

"Sharon," he smiled at me immediately I approached him.

"Oh! You seem like you were expecting me."

"Of course I am, join me!" He said and held out his hand to me.

I smiled and took it, not letting go of it for a second.

"Communicating with God is just as simple as talking with your best friend. But the only thing is that the Bible says we should enter his presence with Thanksgiving. So for you to approach God, you need to start by thanking him."

"So how do I thank him?"

"Take a few moments to think about all the things he has done, then you can begin to tell him thank you. The Bible says I will enter his presence with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. You can never approach God if you do not follow the route of thanksgiving."

"God, I am grateful for saving my life countless times in this jungle. I thank you for making Tunde to accompany me. If I were the only one in this forest, I would have committed su***de by now. I am such a stubborn and arrogant person. I don't even know why you choose to show me mercy, because left to myself, I wouldn't have forgiven myself.

I'm a very bad person. I commit fornication a lot and I always hated you back then. I don't know if I still hate you now but, I'm starting to like you. How do I still find myself liking Tunde more than you."

"Sharon!" Tunde called and playfully spanked me.

"What? I'm talking to my bestie and you need to leave us alone!" I grinned.

"This is not a joke Sharon. Please, take this all seriously. If you think you are going to start making me laugh with your funny prayers then I would have to excuse you."

"Okay! I'm sorry! But the truth is I love you so much."

"Thank you! Now focus on talking to god I'm telling him what is truly in your heart. Stop bringing jokes up."

"But you're supposed to say you love me."

"Sharon! We are praying here! And why are you holding my hand like this?" He said and released himself from my grip.

"Tunde! There's nothing bad if you tell me you love me too. Do you hate me?"

"Sharon, we are having a prayer session. Please I would love us to focus on the prayers for now."

"And I would love us to focus on you affirming your love to me. You don't have to mean it, I just want to hear you say it."

"Sharon don't push me into walking out on you, because that is what I'm about to do."

"I'm sorry!" I said and lowered my head.

"Good! Now let's focus."

"But do you hate me? Am I so annoying to you?"

"Sharon!" He shouted.

My eyes darted wildly, my body trembling as I cowered, attempting to escape the verbal onslaught.

With tears welling up in my eyes, I reached out and gently touched his arm, my voice barely above a whisper.

"I'm so sorry, I never meant to hurt you," but he didn't say a word .

My face contorted in regret. My eyes, once bright and vibrant, now dull and sunken, reflected the profound sadness that had taken residence within me, weighing me down like an anchor.

My words tumbled out in a rush.

"I'm almost sorry, I shouldn't have spoken without thinking, please forgive me."

"Okay! Are you ready to learn how to pray or you want to continue wasting my time?"

"I want to learn," I said, my face brightening up with excitement.

"Good! And please don't try what you did with me next time. That's one of the best ways to get me angry and furious."

"I won't! I swear!"

"No! You are now a child of God and the Bible is against swearing as believers. Let your yes be yes and let your no be no. That's what the Bible says."

"Okay! I promise you I'm not going to ask you such weird questions again. I promise and swear to you."

He looked at me and I burst into laughter.

"Just joking!"

"I need you to be serious. I'm supposed to be having fellowship with God right now but I'm taking my time to teach you how you can have yours with him, without me having to sacrifice mine."

"Oh! Thank you so much for making this sacrifice."

"Nobody moves?" A man jumped out of the nearby bush and pulled his hunting gun at us.

"Jesus!" I screamed and hid behind Tunde.

"Oh!" It's you again!" The hunter said.

"Wow! God brought the hunter to us again," I said smiling.

"I thought you guys said you wanted to go home. I believe you have gotten home by now," he said scornfully.

"We are sorry for leaving abruptly. It was all my fault! I was so stubborn and stupid. Right now, we want to stay with you and your family."

"Who are you talking to? Me or the trees behind me?" He asked frowning at me.

I was shocked by his question. I thought once we met the hunter, he was going to bring us to a more comfortable shelter.

"We are sorry for leaving. We would love to stay with you for a while, please!"

"You would never set foot in my house again. Find your way out of this place just like you said you would. Good bye!" He said and made to leave.

I ran and grabbed his agbada.

"Please sir! We are so sorry for acting stupidly! It was all my fault!"

"Shhhhhh!" He said held up a finger to his lips demanding we all go silent.

"Something is coming!" He whispered.

"Jesus! Please save us!" I prayed within me. I was tired of all this. I hadn't taken a bath in days and felt really smelly. I want to go to the more comfortable place and rest. All this stress is too much on me.

Suddenly, someone jumped out of the bush, behind the hunter and ran towards him with full force. He didn't have enough time to pull the trigger before his opponent pinned him to the ground.

Judging from the way he was dressed, I knew he was one of the ritualists.

There was a little bit of struggle between the two men, but it seemed the strange guy was winning. He grabbed the hunter by the neck I was strangling him.

Tunde ran towards the fight and grabbed the huge tall dark man's arm. The man skillfully made a turn and the elbowed him on the face. Tunde crashed to the ground, groaning.

I picked a stick on the ground and ran towards the scene. On arrival, I wiped the ritualist guy with the stick on his eye.

"Aahhhhhhhhh!" He groaned in pain.

He released the hunter, but quickly rushed after the gun that was laying on the floor. He grabbed it and pointed at me.

"Jesus!"

To be continued............

Jesus said that the words that he speaks to us are spirit and life. The word of God and not just the letters. They are God's integrity given to us to rely on.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. God takes his words seriously more than anything. We must learn to hold on to his words and say them back to him.

We must not accept any other thing in our lives apart from his word. The more we insist and prayerfully declare his word, the more we will see them coming alive, in our lives.

I believe this messages for someone.

Sharon has gotten herself into another trouble. Let's find out what happens next week Monday.

Lord help me to hold on to your word and not allow experiences or the lies the devil whispers into my head to overcome my trust in the integrity of your word.

Can you make that your prayer point?

Episode 14

"Are you sure we still remember the way to the hunter's house?" I asked.

"I'm not so sure. I don't know if we are on the right path. Right now what is very important is that we find our way to where God wants us to be."

"And we are having difficulty finding it. Why don't we just ask God to bring the hunter to us?" I suggested.

"Hmmmmmmm! What a great idea! How come I never thought about that?"

I was smiling right now to see the excitement my suggestion brought to his face. Although I was not born again, I still hadn't gotten rid of the feelings I had for him. In fact, with the way he was acting nice these days only made it worse. I still find myself desiring him sexually, but from what I have experienced, it's a waste of time.

He stretched his hands at me and my heart skipped a beat as I gently intertwined my fingers with his. I felt a flutter in my chest as our hands touched, the warmth of his palm sending shivers down my spine.

"Dear Lord, we are sorry for string away from the path you wanted us to be. Right now we are trying our best to find our way back and it's not working. Please help us and show us your mercy. Bring the hunter to us so we can go back to where you want us to be, in Jesus name."

"Amen!" I replied.

"Thank you so much Sharon. I never expected such a brilliant idea would come from you."

"I'm just a baby in the faith. I am learning as fast as I can."

"So do we wait here or we keep walking?"

"Let's wait here. Since we already asked God to bring the guy to us, there's no need to spend our energy on what will not profit us." I said and sat in a tree trunk.

I felt so dirty as I had not taken a bath for 3 days straight. Worse, I was already having cramps, which meant my monthly visitors will be here anytime soon. If there was anyone praying for the hunters arrival more, I guess it was me. I had specific pills I usually took during my period. If I don't take them, I'm seriously going to go crazy with pain.

So many things have been happening at the same time. I seriously don't know how I'm going to scale through the discomfort that awaits me. I'm really embarrassed that the only company I have is a male.

He sat beside me and stared into my face.

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah! Just a mild stomach pain. You don't have to worry, I'll be fine."

"I've seen this kind of face before. Anyways, if you said I shouldn't then I wouldn't."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Do you feel anything for me?"

He gave me a weird look and je**ed back, eyes widening in surprise.

"I'm sorry if I asked the wrong question. I'm just curious." I said with a gloomy face.

"Sharon, you don't have to be ashamed of your question. It is absolutely normal for your head to think some funny things right now."

"My head is not thinking anything funny. I am serious when I'm asking this question."

"And how important is this question to the situation we are in right now?"

"I really don't know but I just want to know how you feel about me. Do you love me or you just see me like a younger sister? Is there something more in your heart for me? If you had your way, would you want to date someone like me?"

"Oh my goodness! Sharon! Is that the only thing you can think about? Dating and American romance? You think I haven't seen you with all those crazy books that make people imagine impossible things!"

"I know I have fed my mind with junk, I just need you to answer my question and give me the assurance I need."

"Sharon, you have asked the wrong person. this is not about answering your questions, this is about the kind of mind you have developed over the years. You have sat down with people who have nothing to talk about that will help your future and destiny. The more you had this company around you the more it shaped your mind.

Right now, you need the word of God to transform your heart. So I am not really surprised this kind of question is coming out of you. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. That is something the word of God told us.

"Yes, so back to my question."

"I am not giving you an answer."

"Because you have feelings for me and you don't want to admit it."

"Because it is a useless question."

"Tunde, admit it. You feel something for me and you just don't I want to say it."

"Sharon you're missing the point and that is what is getting me angry right now," he said sternly.

"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't know I got you angry with my childish question. But if you give me a yes and you know I would stop there."

"And you're not getting any yes and no."

"Oh! Okay! I'm sorry for asking."

"Good!" He said and silence fell as none of us said anything for the next 5 minutes.

The discomfort I felt in my abdomen was slowly increasing and right now, the only thing I needed was my pills.

"Are you sure you are okay? Why are you sighing and making some silent groans?"

"Tunde! I'm in trouble! I need my pain killers right now," I said with my eyes shut, trying my best not to burst into tears.

"Is it......... Is it.......... Emmmmm....... Women stuff? Monthly circle?"

"Yeah! It is! And I'm afraid I'm going to go crazy with pains if I don't get to take my pills," I ssod with tears slipping out of my eyes.

"I'm really sorry there are no pills here. But we have the balm of Gilead with us. It's a far easier pill to swallow than those ones you've been taking before now."

"Balm? Who uses balm to cure cramps?"

"I do! Tried it on my sister several times and it worked. You are not going to be an exception."

"Okay! Please where is the balm?" I asked.

"I don't have it here with me physically."

"What? But you just said you have it."

"Physically! Emphasis on physically, but I have it with me spiritually.

He placed his hand on my head.

"Now put your hands on your abdomen section as I pray for you," he instructed.

I quickly did that and said amen as he prayed briefly.

"Lord we thank you because you have made us to understand in your word that healing is the children's bread. We are your children and we walk in different and supernatural health.

The only pain you allowed the woman to feel is the pain that comes during child birth. So we really don't understand why the devil has normalized something that was not meant to be normal. We thank God because she's now your daughter and her health is absolutely your responsibility.

I am not only commanding this pain to go away, but I am commanding to never return in the name of Jesus!"

"Amen!"

"You said in your word that these signs shall follow them that believe. One of the signs is that they will lay their hands on the sick and the sick people will recover. I am laying my hands on your daughter right now and I command every demon afflicting her body with pain to disappear in the name of Jesus!"

"Amen!"

"In Jesus name I pray!"

"Amen."

It was as thy there was a strange movement in my body. Instantly, there was a feeling of relief, like when someone poured cold water on something steamy. All the pains gone in an instant, something I have never experienced before.

"I feel a lot better right now!" I said still observing whether or was just making it up or it was real.

"Glory to Jesus! He's a prayer answering God."

"Wow! I never thought the answers prayers that fast."

"What would make you think he doesn't like answering prayers immediately?"

"Because we have been praying to go back home and yet he hasn't answered us."

"Maybe you need to keep praying."

"Didn't he hear the first time?"

"Have you been in a situation where you tried to get something from your dad and he gave you a stern no?"

"Yeah! But I was a very stubborn girl. I don't take no for an answer. I would keep disturbing and disturbing until the person bends to do my bidding. My dad knows me for that and whenever I start disturbing him he quickly gives me what I am asking for.

That is also the same way I am always been with my big sister. She tries to control my life but I always make sure I keep insisting on what I want until I have it. It was part of what made me to also dig out the secret she was keeping. Although, I am regretting that right now. But once I make up my mind to get something, I don't take no for an answer."

"Good! Do you know that you now have a father who you can also disturb like that?"

"Really?"

"Yes! I don't think that stubbornness you have is a waste. Since you know how to insist on getting what you want, do it to your heavenly father.

I don't have my Bible here with you I would have read you the story of a woman in the Bible. A woman who came to Jesus begging for healing. I really don't know what took Jesus to Sidon. It was the country of a notorious wicked woman called Jezebel.

This woman came to Jesus and begged him to heal her daughter which was under the oppression of a demon. Jesus told this woman that his major assignment was to the lost sheep of Israel. He had no business with anyone who was not a child of Abraham.

And with that he dismissed her, refusing to grant her her request. But the Bible made us understand that the woman kept following him and his disciples, weeping along the way. Her tears began to disturb everyone that the disciples had to tell Jesus to tell her to leave.

Jesus called the woman back and told her that you do not give the bread that belongs to the children to the dogs."

"Hmmmmmmm! I guess the dogs Jesus was referring to in that scripture were those who were not children of God, right?"

"Exactly! But guess what this woman told Jesus in response to that statement."

"I really don't think I can guess. I've never heard that story before."

"She told Jesus that even the dogs eat from the breadcrumbs that fall from the children's tables."

"Wow! I thought she was going to argue with Jesus that she should not be called a dog."

"No, and Jesus was marveled by her faith and granted her desire."

"Because she was a troublesome woman. So from this story are you trying to tell me that God wants me to disturb him?"

"Exactly! Just as you disturb your earthly father whenever you desperately want something, that is the same thing you can do to God. He always hears your voice whenever you call on him. So imagine if you call on him over and over."

"What if God is more stubborn than me?"

"Come on! You don't have to be scared of that. He promised us that we should pray until our joy is complete. So if you notice there is incompleteness of Joy in your life then you have prayer points to present to him. Until he answers you, don't stop!"

"Wow! I guess I have found somebody to start disturbing!"

To be continued.........

This scripture looked like a story until the day I saw it happen in my family. My dad wanted a promotion at his place of work and every time we prayed it became the family's number one prayer point.

It became a normal thing for us to make that prayer to God. At a point I commonized that prayer point, because it was always something we kept praying and praying. I think it took us 3 years before we got the answer to that prayer point.

But when God finally showed up to answer our prayers, I felt like I was dreaming. My dad never stopped praying and praying over that particular thing until we got the answers.

I don't know that thing you have been praying for and you started telling everybody that God does not answer prayers. I don't know that thing you have been asking him to do for you and because you have not seen it happen, you started saying that God likes answering some people and ignoring some people.

It's time to switch to the stubbornness mode of prayer. Until you answer me God, get ready to see me troubling you.

I believe this message is for someone.

Lord help me to always persist in the place of prayers and continue to pray and seek your face until my joy is complete.

Can you make that your prayer point?

THE MISSION
Episode 13

Ola kept breaking everything she found. She even took some of the wooden doors she broke and ate them in the presence of everyone.

Everything happens so fast as all the hostages kept pouring out of their cells. We knew it was time to escape as the captors were trying to control the crowd of people. It was chaos as some of the hostages attacked the captors with the last of their strength.

"We need to get out of here! Everybody is escaping!" I said, pulling Tunde along with me.

We got into the crowd and tried out best to find our way out of the ritualist's den. Ola was ferocious as she beat down every one she met on the way. I screamed at her telling her to follow us but it was obvious she had no idea of who we were to her. She kept doing the bidding of the demons that are taken over her mentality.

"We need to take Ola with us. I think she has done enough damage. Can you find a way to calm her down?"

"If we calm her down then our secret weapon is gone. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing I can do than to follow you out of this place."

"So we are going to leave my sister in this forest again?"

"It was your idea to unleash the incredible hulk. And when hulk is hulk I believe hulk doesn't remember who his friends are. He can punch anybody that he feels like punching and I am not ready to be the person she will do that to."

"We must find ourselves really lucky to have encountered Ola. Don't tell me we are going to leave her again. We can't go without her!"

"The first time we were here I have always listened to everything you said. But this time, it's either you are coming with me or I take you by force," Tunde said with anger written all over his face.

"This is not a time to be angry with me. I had a beautiful plan and you were about to ruin it."

"And look at the huge means you have made. I just pray none of these people dies in the process. Let's get out of here before it's too late," he said and carried me on his shoulder.

I kept screaming at Ola telling her I was her sister, but she never looked in my direction. Soon, we were in the crowd of people running for our lives.

"Open fire!" I heard the leader scream.

Gunshots rent the air and many of the people running alongside us, dropped dead. The captors kept firing and many of those escaping fell to the ground dead. Some of them were wounded and couldn't run anymore. Tunde kept running as fast as he could as the gunshots kept coming.

I can't believe I endangered everyone. What about Ola? What would have happened to her by now?

Some of the captors ran after those escaping that had been shot and carried them back to their cells. It was almost as if nobody escaped as the entire crowd looked like they were all shot. They kept looking around at all the bodies that laid on the floor and couldn't help the tears that fell from my eyes.

The captors kept shooting at us but I noticed they kept missing their target. Soon, they stopped firing and admitted something was strange about us. They didn't come after us either. They watched as we got away free from their nest.

When we got a great distance away, Tunde lowered me to the ground to catch his breath.

"I can't believe I let all of this happen!"

"All of what?"

"These people! They all got themselves killed because of my stupid idea."

"Oh! That wasn't you. They were all going to be killed anyway. You just made them die faster!"

"Haaaaaaaa! Tunde! You are not helping matters."

"Why would you want me to help matters? Does my opinion count in this journey?" He said looking at me fiercely.

I was scared of this anger he was exhibiting and took a few steps backward.

"If you have listened to me, would all of this had happened? You kept being stubborn and doing whatever you feel like doing. So what do you want me to help you with? When it was time to run you couldn't even run. You had a plan that you did not have the capacity to follow through with."

I went down on my knees and broke into tears.

"So all of those people died because of my weird plan?"

"Sharon! You are missing the most important point here. They shot everybody, but did you notice that none of those bullets touched us? Was that because we knew how to dodge bullets?"

"I noticed the same thing also. I thought it was just my observation, but I didn't know you also took note of it."

"Yes, that's because even in our state of rebellion against God's instruction, he insisted on protecting us. There was an angel waving the bullets away from us with his wings. So no matter how well they aimed at us, they always missed.

"Wow! Merciful God! I'm so sorry! I'm sorry for not following your instructions. I've made a big mess of everything!"

"You are always good at creating messes!" Tunde said and when I looked at his face this time, he was smiling.

"How could you be angry for one minute and the next minute, you are smiling. Does that mean you have forgiven me?"

"Did I give you the impression that I was angry with you? I'm sorry if I did! The Bible does not say we shouldn't be angry, but it made emphasis on not committing sin because of that anger. I really wasn't happy with how stubborn you have been in this journey. But, I am glad you admit your mistakes and you are sorry for what you did.

The Miss Sharon I know will never apologize for anything she does. Even when she knows she's wrong, she still wants to win the argument. I have watched you on your sister do this over and over. I'm used to seeing the two Kolapo kids arguing with each other.

"I'm the kid. She's the adult, that's what she always says," I smiled.

"Oh, I'm glad you remember that!" He smiled back.

"My sister! What about her? She's still in the den of those kidnappers. We have to go back and rescue her."

"If you move an inch, I'm going to beat you! You have done enough for today. You are going to follow me and do as I say."

"But......"

"I don't need any buts from you. It's either you do as I say or I beat you like the little kid you are."

"Tunde! You want to beat your baby girl?" I asked and made a baby face.

"When did you become my baby girl? The last time, I remember you always told me that you were the boss and I was the driver. You have always been eager to put me where I belong."

"Oh no! I'm sorry for treating you that way. It has only taken me all of this experience to realize I was in a bad company. I was influenced by the wronged people and bought the wrong philosophies towards life. I know I have treated you badly in the past and I'm very sorry."

"It's okay, but I need you to make some promises to me. Ever since we found ourselves in this jungle, I have been receiving instructions from God which you have not allowed me to fully align with. If we had, I bet we would have been out of here in no time. The Holy Ghost told me something about the hunter and his family. And he said we were here to help them find him.

That was the reason why he insisted we wait until the danger is passed. But you were so eager to find your sister that you broke this alignment. I believe he knew these kidnappers were hanging around and that was why he wanted us to stay with the hunter for a while.

What I'm trying to say is that the Holy Ghost wants us to go back to where we started. His original plan for us was to stay with the hunter and right now that is what we are going to do. All of these, were never his intention for us if we had stayed on script. He had a plan but we messed it up. I mean we because I'm also a part of it. I should have insisted on ensuring you stay, but I was busy proving to be a hero by following you.

The Holy Ghost had to rebuke me for that. That was the reason why I was exposed to some experiences I never saw coming. Especially when the temptations to commit immorality came. To be honest, I almost gave in, but I kept begging God to show me mercy. It was his mercy that saved me and helped me to maintain my ways before him.

We are not going to waste time trying to solve our problems with our human mind. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Verse 6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Verse 7. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

That is the word of God to you Sharon. It is time you stop relying on your own understanding and trust God to navigate us out of this place of no return. Are you ready to drop all your ideas and put your trust in God?"

I couldn't give an answer instantaneously. I knew I couldn't trust myself to follow through with whatever God would say. I might have ideas along the way and choose to stubbornly follow them.

"Miss Sharon, ever since we came here, you kept doing things your own way. Since then, we kept getting into trouble over and over again. Why don't we hand everything over to Jesus and see what he would do?"

"Hmmmmmmm! Ola! I'm worried about her! From the way you are saying that we should stay with the hunter, it's almost as if you don't care if she's in danger."

"As much as she may look in danger to you, she's under the watch of the Holy Ghost. I have the peace of mind that she's fine wherever she is. And the God who brought her to us the first time, will do it again.

Right now, our primary assignment is staying with the hunter and his family. Can you submit to God and do that alongside me?"

Hmmmmmmm! Will God bring my sister to us again? Won't I end up messing his plans along the way? We have wasted time wandering out of the will of God for us. And now that he has delivered us from the den of the ritualist in his mercy, he's taking us back to where we started from.

Is that how we waste time whenever we via off God's plans for our lives? Is that how we experience what we are not supposed to experience whenever we choose not to follow his instructions. We wouldn't have had any business with those ritualists if we had stayed in the hunter's house.

"I will! I said with determination.

"Oh thank you so much Sharon!" He said and hugged me.

"I'll follow you as your baby girl," I said smiling.

"Which one is, I will follow you as your baby girl? You are my sister in Christ."

"Yes, but I'm also your baby, right?" I said and gazed up at him with big, round, pleading eyes, tilting my head and puckering my lips.

I attempted to conjure the most irresistible puppy eyes I could muster, hoping to persuade him to accept to call me his baby girl.

"Haaaaaaaa! Which kind of juju is this now?" He said laughing and I rushed at him to hit him, but he ran, making me chase after him.

To be continued............

Is that how we waste time whenever we via off God's plans for our lives? Is that how we experience what we are not supposed to experience whenever we choose not to follow his instructions. We wouldn't have had any business with those ritualists if we had stayed in the hunter's house.

Do you remember that day when all God said was not to watch that particular video, but you disobeyed. Just that video led to almost 3 years of ma********on.

Do you remember when all that God said was not to visit that guy, but you disobeyed and your virginity went for it.

There are so many things we wouldn't have experienced if we had just land to say yes when God spoke. If we had learned to say yes to those whispers in our heart from God. We wouldn't have had some terrible experiences we had.

I believe this messages for someone.

I believe God never planned for the prodigal son to eat with pigs. He choose to disobey his father and abandon the plan of God for his life. That's how he found himself where the devil wanted him.

Lord, help me to always follow your instructions and avoid the dangers hanging outside your plans for my life.

Can you make that your prayer point?
