✨ Word of the Week: Unflappable

After an abandoned trip, Storm Amy doing her best impression of a washing machine, a gazillion notifications waiting when I got back, Uni drop-offs and pick-ups, Beth insisting on her walkies (non-negotiable), plus client work, new quotes, a tricky situation handled, and hosting Edinburgh…
I’d say this week’s word can only be Unflappable.

Definition: calm and composed, especially when life’s doing its best impression of a circus act.

Because let’s be honest — staying serene when the universe is flinging flaming hoops at you is an art form.

So here’s to the ones who keep their cool in the chaos, make it look effortless, and still find time to bake a coconut cake to go with their cuppa 💙☕

When the week doesn’t go quite as planned… but somehow ends up exactly as it should.

I’d planned a full week of unplugged peace on Tiree with windswept walks, salty hair, and zero signal.

Then along came Storm Amy (cue the soundtrack 🎶 “Back to Black (Clouds)” 🎶).

So instead of being stranded on an island, the compass pointed me home early. And you know what? It turned out to be serendipity.

A few unexpected conversations, a surprise client win, and a cosy weekend ahead. Log fire poised 🔥

Sometimes life’s detours are just the universe’s way of saying,
“Not there… this way.” 🧭

Word of the Week: Buoyant 🌊✨

This week has been about clearing out the unnecessary, making room for what matters, and keeping my spirits high.

I’ve prepped for my Tiree adventure, welcomed my oldest pal for a few days of reminiscing (yes, we partied like it was 1999 🪩), and ticked off progress in all areas of work and life.

Through it all, nothing has shifted my positive mood.

That’s what buoyant feels like – light, uplifted, and ready to float into the week ahead no matter what comes your way.

👉 A hypothetical conversation that you play out in your head — a perfectly scripted dialogue you’ll probably never have in real life.

We’ve all been there…
💭 Rehearsing what we’ll say in a meeting.
💭 Replaying an argument with the perfect comeback.
💭 Imagining how that pitch or DM could go.

✨ My tip? Use them as rehearsal, not reality. Test the words in your head — then say it out loud. You’ll hear what works, what doesn’t, and step into the real conversation with confidence.
