It’s not a bad job this I know not all drivers rooms are like this, but it does make the job easier makes a change from doing something other than staring at your phone for an hour while they unload you.

Sorry to my followers that there has been no updates for a long time.

Earlier this year I had a fall & hurt my back which went away within a few weeks because still managed to to goto work.

Roll forward to September and & after 9 lovely days of with the family the day before returning to work the wife asked me to bring down a pile of washing and well I slipped only a little but enough fornme to feel my back twinge.

But I return to work taking paracetamol and ibuprofen but after to nights at work I woke  couldn’t move. I couldn’t get to the toilet. I couldn’t sit up straight and couldn’t walk more than a few steps without screaming agony.

After two weeks of medication and being off work, I finally got an MRI scan on the 8th of October for a few days. Got the results L5 to S1 slip disk, extruded disk & referred to the pain clinic, which I’m now waiting on the appointment for!

So now I’ve been off work since the 13th of September today is the 23rd of October and I’m now waiting for a message or letter from the pain clinic for a first visit then a date for hopefully a injection in my spine then I should be able to return to work.

Even though I’ve been on nearly every drug that you can take for nerve pain. I still suffer very badly with only be able to sleep for very short periods basically while the medication is in fact, and being woken in agony with nerve pain. Take the medication and go back to sleep for a few more hours. It’s been like this for the last two months.

So hopefully I’ll be back at work within the next month or so, hopefully before Christmas and be giving you some more updates and content .

By the way, sorry for the scary photo, but I can’t stand in front of mirror and take a shave or sit in a chair and get a haircut because I can only sit for approximately four or five minutes at a time as I’m still in so much pain, the plan is I’ll have a beer achieve when I can do it myself, and I’m happy to grow it till then.

I’ve never realised how little the government help in this situation when you go from earning hundreds of pounds a week as a lorry driver to get £109

It is amazing that people think oh I’m just going to beat this lorry around the roundabout when clearly it’s going to need both lines to do it because it’s 13 1/2 m long, small roundabout, it won’t be able to stay in Lane.

I think every car driver should be made to sit in a lorry and see what a lorry can see as part of the driving test for a car .

Well wasn’t a long night up to Leeds then to Leyland, would have been quicker if M62 wasn’t closed (Brighouse detour)
