I am overjoyed (and also a bit nervous) to announce that THE NEW CONGA LAB, my online platform entirely dedicated to the study of conga drums, is finally up and running. You’re all warmly invited to visit it and, if it applies to you, to subscribe to it and join its community.

The New Conga Lab is a collection of non style-specific studies for conga drums - consisting predominantly of tables of permutations - presented as videos and downloadable pdfs.

A new classification of the basic rudiments of conga drums technique is introduced in the platform, as well as a new system of notation, leaner in its layout than most system in use nowadays, yet allowing for unlimited degrees of complexity and articulation - an instigation for composers to venture into writing for this so far neglected instrument.
