Who is Rowena Alice?

She has been described as a “brilliant broadcaster” and a “trendsetter” by Lock Magazine, a “prolific broadcaster, presenter and DJ” by Fred Perry Subculture, a person who “expresses their individuality through fashion” by Stylist Magazine, and as “one of the top 25 sexiest women from Essex” by Essex Live News.

Scouted and signed as a model during school, Rowena was quickly immersed in a world of culture, thriving arts and live-music scenes in London during her modelling career.

After returning to education and graduating from university, she became an entertainment reporter and showbiz panellist for BBC Three Counties Radio. For BBC, she has interviewed the likes of Steven Spielberg, Simon Pegg, Michael Keaton, Edgar Wright and Mark Ruffalo. She has also done voiceover work for BBC Three Counties.

Rowena presents her own weekly show called Riot Diet on Boogaloo Radio. The show champions and plays new releases from women, trans and non-binary people in rock, indie, punk and alternative music. She regularly interviews established and up-and-coming acts, as well as hosting live acoustic performances in the Boogaloo studio. She has appeared as a guest on popular podcasts such as, Hardcore Listing, Desert Island Dicks, Off The Beat & Track, The Evolution of Horror, and The Final Girls podcast.
