Angel Bat Dawid and Naima Nefertari, these two boundary-pushing and forward-thinking musicians, took us on a journey last week with their remarkable collaboration, ๐‰๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ฒ ๐“๐จ ๐๐š๐›๐ญ๐š ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐š, a powerful meditation on memory, mythology, and ancestral science, drawing deep inspiration from the ancient astrological stone circle of Nabta Playa, nestled in the remote deserts of Nubia.

They performed it live at .ldn, an intimate setting for an evening full of experimental soundscapes and sonic explorations of organic and electronic meditations, a sonic journey through sacred time and space into the deep deserts of Nabta Playa.

It was blessed by the presence of an original tapestry by , adorning the stage and setting the energy for the evening.

Accompanying the live performance was also a radio show on with Angle Bat Dawid and Naima Nefertari in conversation with on this remarkable album, followed by a listening session of Journey to Nabta Playa at hosted by , and a Q&A on the story, message and inspiration of the album.

Angel Bat Dawid, composer and multi-instrumentalist is a cultural force, widely recognised as one of the most forward-thinking voices in contemporary spiritual jazz.ย Naima Nefertari (aka Naima Karlsson) is multi-disciplinary artist/ musician, who also serves as the curator and archivist of the Estate of Moki Cherry and Cherry Archives.

Both boundary-pushing musicians in their own right, together in this remarkable collaboration, they weave spiritual jazz, celestial electronics, ancestral instruments, storytelling, and elemental sounds into a musical tapestry.
