Jackie Shane - a riveting, visionary R&B performer and Black, trans woman who got her start in Nashville, then took the Toronto scene by storm in the 1960s, before completely falling off the radar. After mysteriously vanishing from public view for almost 40 years, the little-known soul and blues icon is given her ultimate due in this remarkable documentary portrait.
