It’s Election Day in Germany 🇩🇪 and politicians are hungry for influence and votes 🗳
How do they get them?
One route to power is through advertising…
So I took a walk around the Kreuzberg district of Berlin to analyse and critique some campaign posters.
How are they designed?
How do they use and manipulate language?
How do they use colours, visual styles and cultural references to influence voters?
Check out the video and let me know what you think!

How do political ad campaigns influence people?
It’s Election Day here in Germany and there are campaign posters everywhere. I took a walk around the Kreuzberg district to critique some of the campaigns from a creative director’s perspective.

Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge 2021: Why I Did It, What It Was Like, and 14 Tips to Succeed
On the weekend of the 4th/5th/6th March, I completed the David Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge. Starting at 8pm Pacific Standard Time, I ran 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours. That means a total of 48 miles and 12 runs.
This video is aimed at intermediate to experienced runners, so I have tried to focus on aspects of the 4x4x48 which I confronted as an experienced runner. Beginners might also find some useful nuggets in here, or get inspired!
I'd like to thank everyone who sponsored me on this challenge to raise money for Mind, the mental health charity.
A bit about my running background: I've been running for 30 years. I competed in middle distance cross country and trail races in high school and university before switching my focus to judo, in which I've competed at a national and international level. Over the last year I've got back into running much more seriously and I'm currently training for my first ultramarathon.
This is a deep dive into why I did the challenge, my experience, and my tips for anyone who wants to do anything similar.
