Cain (age 4) laughed his heart out from start to finish and decided this show deserved 100 stars out of 5! Sunshine by Stickyback Theatre Underbelly

“Mummy, my tummy is sore cause I have laughed so hard...“

I am not surprised I haven’t heard so much laughter in one room for a long time. Sunshine at Venue 61 does what is says on the tin!

Mr Sand arrives at the beach ready for a lovely relaxing day enjoying the sea air until his peace is ruined by the arrival of Mr Sea who ruins his plans with his antics.

With much hilarity, in the style of Mr Bean, Mr Sea causes mischief with suncream, seaweed and swimming costumes much to the annoyance of Mr Sand. The clever backing music and sound effects are perfectly timed.

With important themes such as beach pollution, toleration, sharing and friendship played out through good old fashioned silliness this interactive show is a must see for all the family which will have the youngest to the oldest members of the audience entertained.

The show finishes with a beach ball fight where everyone can get involved in some harmless fun.
