The Agile Organisation says: " Agile working is about bringing people, processes, connectivity and technology, time and place together to find the most appropriate and effective way of working to carry out a particular task. It is working within guidelines (of the task) but without boundaries (of how you achieve it)."

Eminently sensible. But it's not a new thing. I'd argue that video and film producers have been agile-working since year dot; it's in our DNA. Read on and I'll explain...

As he puts the finishing touches to his second feature film, The Dark Channel, I spoke to HerioVisual featured artist, Mark Davis.

One of the UK's most in-demand drama editors, Mark describes a career that’s taken him from painting murals in Portugal as a teenager, through directing music videos to cutting episodes of Netflix mega-budget period drama, The Crown.

I asked Mark whether corporate films can be as compelling as high-budget dramas.

'People are sophisticated in their tastes. They watch a lot of TV and film; they experience good quality work and it affects them. If you’re able to deliver something (in a corporate film) which is on par with what they experience through other media, then they’re much more likely to listen to what’s being said. More importantly they will react emotionally and engage much more with what’s in front of them'.
