Slow motion + Fire = editing dream

My good friend Tom came over from Bulgaria and taught a few workshops…he was kind enough to hire me and be part of the workshop.

It was fun spending the day there and capturing everything but the real fun started for me once I got home.

I had a general idea of strings on top of slow mo footage but once I started playing around with sound design; the video came to fu***ng life man! It’s been a while since I had real fun editing and this was it!

By far my proudest edit from recent times and definitely one of the easier ones. It was one of them where every idea I had in my head just worked on the magic editing machine.

Hope ya dig this one ✌🏻

The Monument to the Women of World War II.
The lettering on the sides replicates the typeface used on war time ration books. There are 17 individual sets of clothing and uniforms around the sides, symbolising the hundreds of different jobs women undertook in World War II and then gave back for the homecoming men at the end of the war. These outfits include uniforms as worn by the Women's Land Army, Women's Royal Naval Service, a nursing cape, a police overall and a welding mask.
Just shows that the women in our lives have been, and always will be, influential to our successes.

The place is unreal inside. The kings/queens tombs, the history etc is amazing.

. Shooting Mixed Martial Artists...is it easy? . Anyone could pick up a camera and just shoot some pics, hoping that they turn out alright but it’s a bit deeper for me. . It’s such an emotional sport where expressing your art results in spilling blood or, worst case scenario, in brain damage. A lot of fighters don’t do this just for fun but because they have to...it’s like Mike Tyson once said “fighting comes from the gutters”. . Capturing the emotion of a fighter is more important to me than just capturing a nice looking pic. I want people to look at that shot and be able to feel what they feel...I think I get it across quite well from time to time 😅 I hope you agree. . Stay tuned for tomorrow challenge 🙌🏻 . Had a skim through some of the footage we have taken over the past 6 months or so and put a compilation of outtakes together. Which one is the funniest one? Mine is probably @one_punch farting on @theprospectmma leg doing the Dagestani Dirtbox 😂 It’s not always Plain Sailing...but it’s always fun with these two 😅
