সংসার হয়ে গেলে একটা মেয়ে সবথেকে বেশি কী হারায় জানেন?
যত্ন!
কেউ তাকে ভাত বেড়ে দেবে সেই যত্ন।
কেউ তার কথা শোনবে সেই যত্ন।
প্রচন্ড ক্লান্তিতে কেউ তাকে একটু ছুটি দেবে সেই যত্ন।

এতসব হারিয়েও মেয়েরা কী রকম সংসার আগলে ধরে জীবন পাড় করে দেয়!
ছুটি নেই, ছাড় নেই, চোখের পানির দাম নেই তাও সংসার আগলে ধরে থাকতে মেয়েদের কী প্রবল আগ্রহ!
এই আগ্রহকে কী যেন বলে?
বোকা বোকা একটা নাম আছে এই আগ্রহের।
মায়া!
নিজেকে নিঃশেষ করে সব আগলে রাখার এই আগ্রহের নাম "মায়া"।
অথচ তার জন্যই কারো মায়া হয়না!
কেমন অদ্ভুত না ব্যাপারটা?
