This Monday, February 6, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, declared that the Pentagon is in contact with countries Latin America to deal with the matter of spy balloon of China, as considered by the North American nation. “The Department of Defense yes, I don’t,” the president clarified when asked if Washington is involved in the conversation.
Likewise, the Chinese government confirmed that the aircraft was its property and said that, unlike the United States, Latin American countries “understand” that the airship does not “represent any threat.”
As recalled, last Friday night, the Pentagon announced that it had detected another “spy balloon” over Latin America. The countries that noticed the presence of the aircraft are Costa Rica, Colombia and Venezuela, according to different sources.
The next day, Saturday 4the spy balloon crisis worsened after the United States will shoot downby direct order of Biden, the chinese aircraft that had been flying over the North American country for several days.
As a reply, china expressed a deep “dissatisfaction and protest” and believes that Washington “overreacted” by using force to shoot down the aircraft that was flying over its airspace.
After the discovery of the first of these spy balloons, a diplomatic crisis between Washington and Beijingwhich caused the suspension of the trip of the Secretary of State, Anthony Blinkento the Asian country, scheduled for last weekend.
