The works we do are empowered by grace, not combined with grace, in order to earn blessings from God. Grace is pure and holy; it cannot be earned or merited. It is more than we deserve and more than we could ever have hoped for.

Grace is God’s kiss reserved for His dear children, and oh, how He loves to lavish His grace upon us!
