Good rising class,

Been in and out of meetings and my emails since the start of 2025 which is a blessing. Yesterday I had my first face to face Board meeting with my fellow trustees of .

A lot of great people and a lot of positive work being done in the South West, Bristol, Bath and Somerset community.

Good rising class,
It was such a pleasure to attend the yesterday.

I’ve attended many literacy events in festivals, but lately I felt more of a connection because I’m not only attended because I enjoy books but I’m also an author.

When I entered the it was buzzing with energy. There was so much people and so many stalls.

I was elated to give away signed copies of my book and talk about literacy world with so many seasoned and knowledgeable professionals.

Its was great to catch up with two members of team who were promoting .

I got to meet who wrote the story “There’s rice at home.” Which is on the EYFS list I created.

I got to chat with Garfield from the .

It was good to see Kings like and
Powers.

It was refreshing to meet the people and discuss self publishing and distribution.

Such a great event. I definitely will be back next year as a speaker and I will definitely recommend that everyone should attend.
