There’s been even more success for the Debating team at Broxburn Academy! 🏆

Congratulations to Broxburn Academy students Emma Crow and Luke Robertson (S6) who recently won the Scottish Mace debating championship.
This is one of the most prestigious competitions in Scotland, and one of the oldest.
They defeated Dollar Academy in the grand final which was judged by Lady Ross KC in the Faculty of Advocates!

Hello Friends of Polkemmet.

Unfortunately, due to staffing and the continued work of clearing up of Storm Eowyn at multiple sites we are having to cancel this rearranged Friends of Polkemmet for Sunday March 2nd. The next session at Polkemmet will be on Easter Sunday (April 20th), when by we anticipate to be fully cleared up from all the recent storm damage.

We would like to offer as an alternative to this Sunday’s session, a morning of tree planting we will be holding on Thursday the 13th of March. This will be held in Whitburn, which may interest those who volunteer at Polkemmet as it is near-by. All the information for that can be found here > https://wlcrangerservice.eventbrite.com

Sign up as usual on Eventbrite. Apologies that we won’t be at Polkemmet this time, but hope to see some of you on Thursday the 13th instead.
