Had a few days over the festive period to cut, machine & assemble some additional speaker cabinets. Still some bits to do & plenty of coats of paint to apply. Got to fetch them down from the mountains first 😂

On the ferry after tonight’s gig with Rack n Ruin sadly got cancelled at the Mid Yell Hall. It’s a shame but safety is paramount & that includes the hall staff, me & the band & of course the guests!
Hopefully get another date organised in the future!!

It’s been an excellent 2024 for us with weddings in the summer & music events in the winter & 2025 looks fairly similar with more weddings booked than ever, although we do have a few dates still available.

Had a cracking last gig of the year at the Mid Brae Inn with Scaldin Bragg & Essykert tonight. Great to do sound somewhere new!
Next up is Rack & Ruin at the Mid Yell Hall on the 2nd of January, another new band & venue to work with! Maybe see you there!

We had the Photo Booth out on Friday night along with the PA for the Shetland Youth Voice Winter Ball. This was an event hosted by the Youth & employability Service at the SIC.
This was a really well organised event for secondary school students from all over Shetland to attend and all tickets were sold. Fun was had by all & it was great to see so many people dancing to the amazing Filskit & The Callum Nicolson Dance Band!

That’s a wrap to our 2024 wedding season! We had a double booking but three different venues with one out in Aith with a 6x3 metre backdrop and lights in the foyer & then a 1st night in the Whiteness Hall & then the second night in a large shed. It was a pleasure to be able to assist both couples in changing the look of the venues especially covering the racking & setting up the backdrop for an area for a band to perform in the shed.

We have these beautiful post boxes available to hire for weddings. One in cream & one in red, these are modelled on the post boxes found in the Shetland countryside & handmade by ourselves in Shetland.

A couple of photos from a recent wedding out west.

We supplied a full PA system for the visiting Cèilidh band including sourcing the piano & drums & adding some simple wash lights for a party atmosphere. We also installed the string lights & supplied the backdrops to the back of the stage and behind the flower arch, which was used for photos.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Manson on their wedding.

Had the pleasure of working with over the weekend at a wedding out in Aith. The band is made up with some excellent musicians and they even come with a piper!

Hopefully we’ll get to work with them again if they come back in the future.

We have a large amount of Organza Chair Sashes available for sale.

Some are new and some are used however they are all clean & ready for a wedding.

These are difficult to list as we have 5 different shades of blue, 6 different shades of red etc so please message if you have an idea of what colours you are looking for & we’ll get back to you with photos of what’s available & the amount we have.

They could also go in bulk if someone wanted to take all of them. (We have over 2500 available)

Did you know the current Sound System we have was built in Shetland by Roger!

It’s a 3 way reflex system made up of 2 single 18” subs & a 15”+1.4” mid top each side.
All the drivers are from a British Company called Precision Devices & it’s all powered by Dynacord amplification.

You’ve maybe heard it out and about?

We are also looking at plans so we can build our own coaxial monitors! We’ll stick up a post when we start that build! 😎

Had an awesome night on Saturday in Trondra with .music where he was showcasing dance music that he’s produced himself.
I’m a big fan of most types of electronic dance music and have to say he didn’t disappoint!
If this is what he can do in his bedroom then I really look forward to hearing what he can do in the future!
