70013 Oliver Cromwell - Britain's 'Britannia'

70013 Oliver Cromwell - Britain's 'Britannia' 'Britannia' 70013 Oliver Cromwell hauled British Rail's last standard gauge steam train on August 11 1968.

It is now a prized part of the UK's National Collection and run on behalf of the National Railway Museum by the 5305 Locomotive Association. Oliver Cromwell is brought to you by a partnership that includes the Great Central Railway (the UK's Only Main Line Heritage Railway) and Steam Railway magazine (the world's biggest selling steam magazine). Though retired in 1968 after 17 years' working life,

the successful partnership means that 70013 is still one of a select number of steam locomotives certified to run around the main line railways of Britain. This National Railway Museum ambassador is truly Britain's 'Britannia'.
