Photo dump from the Midland Hotel.

I’m really sorry I’ve been so absent on social media. I’m struggling with long covid and trying to balance this with the art business has been really hard.

Next episode will be out as usual and then for the Christmas episode, I have something a bit different, so watch this space…

Oh I’m behind. So many pics to share with you all. This is from The Midland Hotel. Don’t knock Bradford until you’ve been here. How amazing is this?! From the old Bradford Forster Square station, you’d walk straight up this ramp from the train into the hotel. Just an amazing bit of preserved history. Oh, and there the ghost of a famous thespian on the stairs! Listen to episode 5 to hear more!

The podcast is out, the pumpkins are done and I’m back to working on my spooky digital painting. It’s been a hectic one! But a lot of fun.

Why does mine always look like a small child did it? It’s the same with the Xmas trees. That’s supposed to be Maud, btw. But it looks like a demon bat cat. Ah well 🎃

Hope you’re all having wonderful and deliciously scary halloweens! 👻

In Episode 5 of the Scared Cat Skeptic podcast, we hunt out an elite class of ghosts at The Midland Hotel Bradford. And there’s a dash of Bram Stoker synchronicity again too. Plus there's a new section at the start for spooky stuff that's happened to Scaredy Cat Skeptic. And the listener story this week is terrifying!

Hello spooky witches! I hope you’re all super excited for Halloween!

We’ve been beavering away to get you the latest episode. We’ve had just a couple of teething problems with the new equipment, but just rest assured that we are taking measures to fix the issues going forward. I hope you enjoy the listen anyway. And our cat, Eva, also features this month, so stick with it until the end to hear what she has to say. Fascinating insights from the floof!

You may notice that the podcast comes out a little early for October. That’s because it’s my birthday on the 30th (woohoo) and I’ll be stuck in an escape room, so to make sure you get your spooky listen, we’ll be releasing it a day early.

Anyway, enjoy the run up to spooky season! Happy haunting!

Have you heard of Robert the Haunted Doll?

The haunting of Robert the Doll is a famous paranormal legend that revolves around a supposedly haunted toy. The doll is said to possess an eerie and malevolent energy, causing strange occurrences and misfortunes to those who encounter it. The story has gained considerable attention and has become a popular subject in the realm of paranormal investigations.

So of course I’ve written a blog post about it. You can find out more on the website…

I’ve had four messages about this after yesterday’s post, so I just thought I’d put this here.

The artwork lurking in the photo behind the new mic in my post from yesterday is one of my paintings and it’s called Raven Crossing. I don’t think it’s haunted, but it is all a bit magical. You can check it out

The original is still available at EmilyDewsnap.co.uk or you can get prints at Redbubble, where we also sell Scaredy Cat Skeptic merch.

We’ve got new equipment! Definitely an upgrade 🎤🖤

~~NEW BLOG POST~~

Nostradamus was a French prophet who seemingly could see into the future. And the future was bleak. It was said that his prophecies have predicted some of the world’s most significant disasters… as well as more that are yet to come to pass.

He is primarily known for his book “Les Propheties” (The Prophecies), a collection of cryptic verses that have been subject to numerous interpretations and claims of predicting future events.

“The Prophecies” was first published in 1555 and contained a series of poetic quatrains, each consisting of four lines. These verses were written in a highly symbolic and allegorical language. Often using metaphors, anagrams, and wordplay. Nostradamus claimed that his prophecies extended until the year 3797, covering a vast range of historical events and future occurrences.
