Rounding out the campaign setting is everything you need to create a campaign, with new classes, powers, spells, and even new familiars.

The ability to create cooperative groups of heroes (with their own starting points), and a lot of background, mythology, and details from a hero's perspective.

Someone said there's not enough plant monsters in 5e.

The Bad Patch, says: Hold my Mead!

This is a list of all the plant monsters you could potentially find in the book (this excludes the monsters of the Lord of Rot, a few special extras (shhh) and The Spore.

You won't know anything about many of these creatures, yet; but they might just stir your imagination.

Dear Adventurers

I thought I'd show you something that literally NO ONE has seen: a completed* page from the Deluxe Edition. This is the Scorbius Drake, which is a hunter (this one's only a drakeling), and a formidable presence.

The Drake can stun its prey, and deals additional damage to stunned creatures. It's a pretty fearsome beast. Its background text also shares a connection with a future book (the whole book is intertwined with snippets of the future).

But it's the Dread abilities that are significant, for it can burn Dread to recharge its abilities, or it can increase the DC or any creature's Intelligence saving throw. It can only burn 4 Dread, so while these abilities look formidable, they have their limits.
