Well knock me down with a feather boa!
Here’s a name some of you might recognise – Gary Marx. Wayne and Craig’s former bandmate from The Sisters Of Mercy has got a new album coming out soon. It’s called Green Ginger Jive, and it’s his first release in many a moon.
Why are we telling you this? Well because Wayne is just one of several guest vocalists appearing on the album. It’s an album of original songs penned by Marx, but it’s heavily inspired by the chart music of his teenage years.
“A glam jamboree is the best way to describe the record – it’s one long love-letter to my youth.”
Wayne says: "This was so much fun to do. And brilliant to work with Gary again after all these years. Just like him I grew up on the early 70's glam so this was right up my strasse."
The album is due to be released in October and will be available on vinyl and CD.
Wrecking Ball Sounds in Hull will be putting the album out, and they’ll also be hosting a suitably Glam launch event on Saturday October 5th.

Many thanks for all your submissions (over 25 so far ! ) for our Wrecking Ball Presents vinyl , we have decided to extend the deadline to submit as it's unlikely we can getting everything sorted and pressed before Xmas as planned - so please drop us a track for us to consider , as planned we will feature 12 tracks in total on the finished album and hopefully we may look at a follow up release.

Have your song released on Vinyl !
Here's news on the upcoming Wrecking Ball Sounds Presents vinyl project, our idea is to release a compilation of 12 tracks by local artists / bands - so if you want to be involved please forward a track to us for consideration, we do not mind what genre, in fact the more eclectic the better! we will be hopefully releasing this on Vinyl just before Xmas - Get Involved! spread the word ! here's some guidelines to consider:

- Track length - preferably around 3mins (we want to have 12 tracks on the album , around 38 mins so please bear this in mind)
- Original Songs only (no cover versions)
- Please provide some info when sending on who wrote the track and who performs on the track along with brief info about the act
- please send audio files through in WAV format
- deadline for submissions : Mon July 22nd (this give us time to have the album mastered and sent to the Pressing Plant for a release in Dec)
