I've been thinking about rainbows a lot.....
why I ask myself.....what do they actually represent.....
well there is an undeniable effect of enchantment caused by the appearance of a one or maybe two if you are lucky. The view is often breathtaking and exciting, often leaving us in awe of its mystical appearance. In addition I believe the rainbow symbolises peace and serenity. These feelings are often evoked when looking at a rainbow.

And I think they are especially poignant at this moment in time as they are often seen after a rainstorm when the sun breaks through the clouds. This provides us with a very powerful and important message. Good and beautiful things often follow the darkest storms. I think by looking at a rainbow it can motivate us to continue and endure these worrying Covid-19 times.

Hello lovelies
A worrying and unprecedented time we are all facing.....but birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions still go on. We are currently still able to post orders out safely as I am lucky enough to be able to work from home.
We can post any print straight to your loved ones to let them know you are thinking of them and they are not alone.
We can also include a handwritten note if you wish.
Just pop us a message over to tell us how we can help.

My cute elephant motif is shown here on this New Mummy mug.
I was asked to make it for a lovely customer to gift to her friend.
If you swipe across to picture number 2 you can see the baby's birth details on the other side of the mug.
I think this print would look fab on a babygrow or baby vest or maybe even some newborn leggings....what do you think?

Hello lovelies
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend (it's not over yet 😀)
I thought I would share with you a little about the process I use to create a Hero design
1. Mood board - inspiration for the pattern/collection. This is usually based on the clients brief. Once this is agreed (that the client and myself are thinking along the same lines ) this leads to stage two.
2. Creating hand drawn elements from the mood board. These can me as many as I wish. They won't all necessarily be used but it doesn't matter. I archive every doodle/drawing as I never know when I might use it in the future for a different repeat.
3. The Hero design (this means the main pattern). This is usually the busiest or boldest or largest scale of a collection.
4. Pattern to product. The final result showing my design onto fabric. In this example fabric for an A line dress. This pattern can also be applied to other surfaces as sees fit. Ie. Stationary, homeward, bedding etc
After this stage I would then go on to create maybe a secondary hero designl and co-ordinating patterns. This would make up a Collection to present to the client.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Much Love X
