More than £4000 has been raised by a photographer and “lifelong beardyman” who underwent a public head shaving at the weekend.

The Bandstand pub in Nairn was filled to the brim with friends and supporters of music photography stalwart Marc Marnie who also parted with his beard - which he has not shaved off since he was 17 - to raise money for cancer support charity Maggie’s Highlands.

Please support our Build the Bypass campaign for Nairn by signing our petition.

We're calling for the Scottish Government to provide a definitive timeline for the development of the Nairn bypass and dualling of the A96 between Inverness and Auldearn.

At present there is no timeline for when the project will be delivered while the communty continues to face worsening congestion, pollution and safety risks.

Please take a moment to sign our petition as we call for a timeline for the dualling of the A96 between Inverness and Auldearn - including the Nairn bypass.

After more than a decade of delays, local communities continue to face worsening traffic congestion, pollution, and road safety risks. With significant developments set to bring thousands of new residents and workers to the area, urgent action is needed to address these growing challenges which will further impact the livelihoods of communities affected.
