RadioHud is the University of Huddersfield’s award winning Student-Led Radio Station. The station broadcasts live online at www.radiohud.com and throughout the entire SU building. The station plays 50 hours of broadcasting a week from breakfast into the evening, so there’s always time to listen in or get involved. Since 2010, the station has evolved to become one of the largest societies on campus
. Not only is it an enjoyable way to spend your free time, but it also helps those hoping to follow careers in radio, marketing, media and much more, as anyone is able to start up their own radio show or help take part! In 2020, RadioHud was awarded the Huddersfield Student Union's Outstanding Progress Award, and was also shortlisted for the Society of the Year Award. The membership fee for RadioHud is just £15 for 2021/22, included in this - you get a 12 month membership and access to all of our sponsor discounts and offers, studio training, as well as our regular socials. The station throws and co-hosts regular charity events which can range from our annual 24 hour broadcast to somebody watching Baby Shark for 7 and a half hours straight on Twitch. RadioHud Presents is hosted by The Parish and brings together national and touring bands to the stage show casing their talents. It's a great way to spend your evening, surrounded by good people and good music. The society has tripled in size since its creation in 2010 and now offers even more roles in the society such as studio technicians, programmers, producers, marketing, photographers and more.
