Lacazette, Bellerin and Xhaka are key to Arsenal Success You read right Alex Lacazette, Hector Bellerin and Granit Xhaka are the key to Arsenalās success this season. Not on the pitch for Arsenal however, but by finding new clubs willing to pay for their services. Itās not all on them, we have our talented younger players in Joe Willock, Eddie Nketiah, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson to sell as well, however because Laca, Heccy and Granit are the senior, higher paid players, itās vital for us to sell. With the club desperately trying to move forward in the transfer market, not just this summer, but as a whole, we have to stop letting players leave for free. The acquisition of Richard Garlic is a big step forward in that regard and the renewal of the contracts over the last 12 months or so of our most talented players such as Martinelli, Saka, Tierney, ESR, Balogun, Okonkwo, Taylor-Hart et al is hugely exciting and promising that weāve learnt our lesson. By offloading these 3 senior players as well as possibly cancelling the contract by mutual consent of Sead Kolasinac, we would truly be in a new era of Arsenal FC, adding the departure of Willian and Iād probably be so happy Iād cry like a baby. Itās not just so important for how we as fans can view the way the club is now being run, itās massive because of the squad size and the ability to finish the summerās business. I canāt see how, after the official signing of Ben White is announced, how we can then continue to purchase players until more are offloaded. It will surely be easier to sell the younger players I mentioned earlier. Whatever you think of Eddie for example, heās a very good, promising young player with a good record for his age. Letās not forget that he had an even better record at u23 level than Balogun who weāre all so excited about. AMN was performing great for us until he decided he was too good to play for Arsenal at right back/right wing BACK Heād also got into the England squad. This is one of the most frustrating issues in years for me, because in my opinion, he could be one of the best RB/RWB in the league if he wanted to be, plus heās got absolutely everything Arteta wants out of the role (moving between the right defensive side, attacking down the right and dropping into midfield) please Ainsleyā¦ buck your ideas up and realise that you have the opportunity to be a mainstay in the Arsenal team for many years to come and count your lucky stars how great that is! Until we sell Xhaka, I truly donāt believe weāll replace him. If and when heās sold, and I think it will happen, I think that the replacement will come in very quickly. Credit to Granit Xhaka, the latest news Iāve heard is that heās willing to forgo bonus payments he was due to be paid in order for the move to go through. I somehow canāt see Willian doing the same. Lacazette should be an easy sale, but apart from a couple of interests, nothing is likely or imminent with him at the time of writing. Now goals are the most valuable commodity in football and Alex scores them consistently and always has done. Heās 30 and only has a year left of his contract, the phone should be ringing off the hook at Highbury House. It seems weāre hawking him around Europe like a dodgy xbox around the pubs, so itās strange that the noises arenāt louder. If we were to sell him and Eddie, Iād love to see Balogun take Eddieās minutes in the team, thus keeping him rather than loaning him out. We have to look after his career better than we have with Eddie. Eddie should have 2 and a half seasons of senior football under his belt, similar to our apparent transfer target Tammy Abraham had at his age, however Eddie only had one six-month loan at Leeds. A couple of last points, firstly, possibly just as frustrating as the AMN situation, is the one with Lucas Torriera. Thereās a great chance that he could be the absolute ideal candidate for the Partey Partner. I think theyād win the best couple in love Island if Torriera was happy and in form. Think about his profile, his skill set and ageā¦ Could it be more like the player we need apart from his height maybe being the only drawback? Itās a moot point however as he is absolutely desperate to leave the club and for me, thatās hugely disappointing and frustrating. The last point is slightly related to the Torriera one, and it is to say that whenever you get a chance this season, watch Marseille play. They will be firstly a very exciting young team thatās having a complete overhaul this summer, but mainly of course to watch Saliba and Guendouzi play every week. Guendouzi is a good player, he was our Robbie Savage as I mentioned in my previous Podcasts. Someone we loved to have (Iāll always be grateful to him for giving us the incredible opportunity to witness his rugby tackle on Wilf Zaha) and someone our opponents hated. I think youāll agree, France know a thing or two about good footballers, and the French football federation love Guendouzi. Heās only on loan with an option to buy for Ā£10m, I for one regret that and Iād have loved to see his progression being coached by Mikel Arteta. Itās another frustration, Iād love to get hold of him and AMN and bang their heads together and remind them how lucky they are to be playing professional football. Saliba is another one who OM canāt believe theyāve managed to get on loan. They also canāt believe that Arsenal are yet to give him a first team game. Iām not going to say anymore about that, letās just adopt OM as a second team to watch this season and then we can all see for ourselves what we may be missing.
