Thatcham Memorial Hall are holding a fund raising Christmas and Bric-a-Brac market on Saturday 2nd December in aid of Rural Communities in Borneo. Lots of Christmas stocking fillers and gifts, refreshment and games.

We're looking for a local DJ who can do some live on-air sets using "twin decks" either CDs or ideally vinyl. We're keen to speak to someone who can do all of the scratching/mixing like Andy C does.

You'll get full support, lots of exposure and if you wish, be part of our team but equally, if you want to DJ live from home, do your set and just log-off then that's fine too.

We don't have DJs and don't know about DJing so you'll need to have all of the kit (we can help with the radio connectivity) and know how to work your magic.

Update. They have enough cases now. The collection has stopped

Following the news of the closure of Regency Park we have 100 people who will have to pack their things to go to destinations unknown. Whilst we've had lots of suitcases donated we will need many more if at all possible. They will need to have wheels and zips working.

As well as dropping off at Thatcham Town Council Offices.
You can also take them to SustainHUBle Market ~ HIGHCLERE and Sustainhuble Collective Page eco market in Wash Common!

This Saturday 11th, 9.30am to 12.30pm– SustainHUBle Eco Saturday Market at Westridge studio, Highclere, RG20 9QS

Thursday 30th, 11am to 2pm– SustainHUBle Eco Market at St Francis Parish hall, Wash Common, RG14 6NH

Thatcham Refillable will then take them to West Berkshire Action for Refugees after each market.

Please help if you can, plus it's great to put unused things back into use!

Here at Thatcham Town Radio we're getting ready for our launch day. In the meantime, we would like to know what it is that you'd like to hear on your community radio station.

If you are a club, charity, non-for-profit or other voluntary organisation, we will promote your organisation free of charge and link to your web site and social media sites. We can also put your events in our events diary and promote them on air.

We think our Jubilee Sensory Garden is looking absolutely beautiful here at The Council Office today 💐 Please do pop along and take in all the wild flowers we have growing. The vegetable garden is also coming along nicely and will be available for you to come and help yourself very soon. 🥕🥒

Calling all carers! The Jubilee Sensory Garden awaits you in all of its splendour. This really is the best time of year to visit as the garden is awash with wonderful colour, scent and sounds. Come on down on Thursday the 29th of June between 10am and 1pm for a tea or coffee break in the garden. Our talented gardener can give you a tour of her work or let you try your hand at some gardening if you find it relaxing. We simply want you to come and enjoy this tranquil space.
