I have studied at Hereford College of Arts, where I did a BA (Hon) in Photography. Before I studied at Hereford College of Arts, I spent some time in Florence, Italy, where I was an assistant to a Fashion photographer, Francesco Bellini. As well as assisting I also freelanced at a local Florence news paper, where I documented the Vine Yards. My work echoes femininity and is evocative by nature, wh
ile the personal aspects of my work give it a delicate style and makes it relevant to others. The creative process that I use is very experimental and constructed, while my aim is to capture the smaller and less obvious details. Like many, I struggle to know myself and my place in the world. My work reflects this in its exploration of life, identity and the journey of discovering the person that I am, and the person that I will become. I strive to make my work relatable and meaningful, if only to a few, but also to make people question their responses to my photographs. My main influences throughout my work are Francesca Woodman and Helen Sear. Their work hasn’t necessarily directly influenced my style, but has been influential in the way that they strive for individuality and the creation of work that is delicate and beautiful.
