One of the best things about being a wedding professional is meeting with other great wedding professionals... we all are here to make wedding dreams come true for all our couples and I wanted to share the story of another amazing pro...

is run by Taz, who I was lucky enough to meet at a wedding at The Compasses at Pattiswick, and he was awesome.... we have met a few times since and I recently had a shoot at his studio... like me, Taz also threw away his 9-5 to pursue his dream career and has been making waves since. Not only has Taz got a great talent and passion for photography he's also got great taste in music, he is a really cool pro who has the ability to make you feel relaxed while he shoots.

As a wedding DJ, one of the services we provide is the music for your ceremony... but that's not what this post is about... its about your ceremony its self and how you want it to go... yesterday's wedding reminded me of the difference between a registrar and a Celebrant...
A registrar is there to perform the (very important) LEGAL duty of marrying you. Their script at your wedding will be the same as the hundreds, thousands, millions even, that have married before you throughout the country, and although legally binding, the scripted words often have just a little more heartfelt personality as the title deed to a fallow field!!!. A CELEBRANT however has the personality, skill and care to sculpt your life stories into your ceremony and vows... an anecdote about the mad circumstances surrounding your chance encouter which led to you falling in love, or how your partner could have easily left you following an unfortunate Kebab incident on on your first date, or a visit to the hospital in greece to have your "todger" checked, are some of the things I've seen be woven into someone's wedding vows...

Friday was a great day over near Oulton Broad at the lovely Ivy House Country Hotel where I got to collaborate with to ensure that Jade's entrance to her ceremony was precisely as she wanted... the talents of these guys are incredible and I could listen to their beautiful tones all day.

A couple of pictures of one of this weeks weddings... Michelle & Jamie held their celebration at the gorgeous Brands Hatch Hotel and Spa, a stunning former Victorian mansion now a stunning getaway for newlyweds and those wanting to pamper themselves..
Michelle and Jamie had the Amp & Decks dream team of Eddie & James with Eddie DJing as well as a 16ft² Starlit dancefloor, 4ft LOVE, Magic Mirror photobooth as well as Uplighters to decorate their party room. The scorching day was made perfect by the air-conditioning which made the room the perfect temperature for the guests to hit the floor.
