We've been a bit quiet of late. Both Amy and I had gone down with flu/covid or whatever that was!! We're both on the mend now thankfully!

We have been working on projects but have had to keep them hush as they are Christmas presents and didn't want to spoil the surprises by posting them up!

Today's plan.

Start to finish.

First I do the deisgn, then cut it on HTV (heat transfer vinyl). Then it is weeded (the bits that are not needed are removed). The HTV has to be cut reversed and weeded from the back, which is the white part, with the clear plastic on the front. The heat press is turned on and taken up to 160 degrees Celsius. The tshirt gets loaded into the heat press and the HTV gets lined up in place. The heat press is lowered onto the shirt with Teflon between. Once pressed on the clear plastic top is removed carefully. The tshirt is re-pressed and it's job done!!

It's been a crazy day up here in the studio.

I cannot show you all what we've been up to just yet as it's top secret until after the club meet in the morning. Photo's will be posted straight after!

Finally Facebook have allowed me to renamed the page, lol!!

I have renamed the page and business from "Jace's Digital Design Studio" to "AJ - The Digital Design Studio".

When I first set this up 17 years ago, it was mainly me doing this. All of it.

Things have massively changed the last couple of years, and calling the business and FaceBook Page "Jace's Digital Design Studio" is hugely devaluing the work that goes on behind the scenes and efforts and work that Amy puts into all this.

When you see a finished design there's a huge amount of work that goes into it:
I (Jace) mostly do the computer / IT stuff and the designs, Amy does the conversions to the embroidery file system and changes the stitch pattern/ style etc. is done using the software, she also does the embroidery from start to finish. She also contributes in many other ways. The weeding (if you know you know!), the placing and pressing of the designs on to fabric to name but a few. Honestly, the list goes on and on............ I'd say it's quite a 50/50 that goes on here!

It's not just me! It's bigger than me!

Nothing else changes, you still get the same service as always. I just wanted Amy to be recognised in all this, and not portray this as all my own work so to speak.

Finally!!

Having tried to contact Facebook and getting no reply whatsoever, they have allowed the page to be renamed as you can see.

AJ - The Digital Design Studio it is.

I'd really love to know what FaceBook are playing at....... I renamed the page as per their instructions a week ago. Apparently they need to check that the new name conforms to their strict guidelines. Once done they would change it.

I have heard nothing. It still hasn't been changed. Despite raising it with them on two separate occasions!

Come on FaceBook, get your act together!!! It's only replacing "Jace's" with "The", it's hardly rocket science is it??
