Campaigners have released a detailed vision for a transport map of Glasgow amid major plans for a Clyde Metro.

Community organisation Get Glasgow Moving has produced the colourful map as it looks to push Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) to “be as ambitious as possible” when finalising plans for a “fully-integrated mass transit public transport system”.

The multi-billion-pound Clyde Metro will aim to better connect more than 1.5 million people in and around Glasgow, incorporating existing routes such as the city’s subway and rail lines, as well as the creation of new light surface-running metro lines and heavy rail converted into metro.
