The Getherin' is a radio show airing on TD1 Radio on Sunday evenings 8.00-10.00 pm UK time and on Blues & Roots Radio. The music covers Scottish Traditional, Celtic, Folk 'n' Roll, Acoustic and Singer/Songwriter material and we always welcome input and suggestions from our listeners.

The Getherin’

The Getherin’ first broadcast on Radio Borders on Burns Night in 2004. When that station cut several locally-based programmes due to networking from Glasgow, the show moved to TD1 Radio on May 1 2011. Karin Ingram has presented the show since its inception. For the last 10 years David “Celty” Shaw has been her right hand man, sourcing new and interesting music and artists and co-ordinating this lively FaceBook page. The Getherin’ is an eclectic mix of Celtic, Scottish Traditional, Folk and Singer/Songwriter material, drawing on the wealth of musical talent in the Scottish Borders and beyond. The show is sponsored by Gus Oliver (Gus’s Gaelic Corner) and RA Oliver (Motor Mechanics) Hawick. On February 10 2020, The Getherin’ broadcast for the first time on Blues and Roots Radio.
