A new and unique live music event is coming to Aldershot Lido next month, with the first Pool and Pop festival, featuring tributes to Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, and a DJ playing in between sets.

Rushmoor Borough Council and Places Leisure are excited to join forces with the team behind Aldershot’s Picnic & Pop Festival to present this brand-new unique event at the lido on Sunday 11 August.

Pool & Pop will see the team’s trademark family-friendly festival transported to the town’s historic lido, where customers will be able to enjoy a day of fun in the sun in the pool and on the slides, accompanied by live music from top pop tribute acts, as well as a live DJ.

There will be plenty of food and drink options from a variety of catering outlets and lots for children to do, with the paddling pool, sandpit and basketball court open as usual.

Council awarded funding to tackle the sticky issue of discarded chewing gum

A grant from the Chewing Gum Task Force, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, will help Rushmoor Borough Council to keep its streets clear of discarded gum and to reduce gum littering.
