The Little Book Stop - Children's Storybook Writing & Illustration

We have been writing and illustrating picture books for children for the past 20 years. Just spreading our wings a little wider :)

We have worked in publishing since we left university, we have been lucky enough to have our stories and illustrations published. Our books are widely available on amazon. But we are still not in charge of our own destiny. We are going to try dipping a toe into the world of publishing, so we can create something beautiful.Something we have wanted to do for a long time. Now seems the time to spread

our wings and try to fly solo...it might work or we might crash land...But as all creatives know, you cannot deny that creative voice inside us all and the more you suppress it the louder it shouts. So we are always going to jump in and give things a go :)

Happy world book week. This week I will be dressing as an author. All week! Like I do every week ;) Have a great time everyone. We are heading down to Plymouth tomorrow to work with the wonderful and inspiring young people at Plymouth school of creative arts :)

So our multiple series of books for the wonderful Spanish publisher Gemser have been translated and sold to a mind boggling number of countries. I would have never dreamed a story I wrote in Devon would be read by a child in Kazakhstan! Amazing really :)

I know it is officially spring now and I have to wonder what spring means to everyone? For me it is sunshine and daffodils :)

Right need to get my thinking cap on. It is not everyday a publisher approaches you for some new ideas :) I am very flattered and just a little 'rabbit in headlights'

A few weeks of no writing... I need to get back to it this week. Money pressures have meant a new part time job. Writing is a passion, a struggle and a compulsion :)
