I always thought the purpose of journalism and the media was to speak truth to power

It turns out to be the exact opposite.

Most of the so-called journalism we see in the media today is lying, to us, for power.

Many of the “journalists” themselves appear to be “just following orders”.

The few brave journalists who try and speak the truth end up targeted, vilified and discredited.

Lying to the people, instead of speaking up for the people.

The absolute shame of it.

If the Renter’s Rights Bill becomes law in its current form, the chaos it will cause cannot be overstated.

It’s the most complex set of rule changes to fundamental basic processes of renting homes.

With few exceptions, no one is ready.

Not landlords, not tenants, and not agents.

People in large numbers are going to find themselves blindsided by fines, evictions and court hearings they never knew would happen.

Even experienced lawyers are saying the legislation is overly complicated.

In the real world of lettings agents, landlords and tenants, it’s going to be like the Krypton Factor, or you’re in big trouble.

Mark my words. Chaos.
